Very much this. Its great to see a new style of football, but it has to be effective.  No point in emulating the Dundee side of the 1960s who played fantastic football but more often than not got beaten.

We are one game in and we need new players

Frustrating.

Not playing badly as such

Taking a touch and putting ourselves under pressure at times when a first time ball would be better.

Incorrect pass choices

Half-hearted pressing at the top end of the pitch sometimes.

Naïve fouls, particularly by Maswinhise. Player running back towards goal and will vlearly go down under any sort of challenge.

Lack of final ball.

Should arguably have had a foul prior to Rangers' corner.

Still very much in the game though and a few decent passages of play.

Well that was different from the usual defend and try to hit them on the break.  Too many slack passes at the moment

The start of game was frantic and some of our new players maybe shocked at the speed of the game.

We are still in it.

I think just is a player but I think he’s really powder puff at times, I think he will come good but it’ll take a wee while and quite a number of gym sessions before it happens.

Yes we have made Mistakes but we will get better. Bad decision from McGinn to give away the corner but I think him and Gordon struggle with us trying to play a passing game. Fadinger struggling a bit today against better opposition but if we can play our new style against rangers it should be “easier” when we play other teams.  Longelo had two opportunities to get god shot on goal but his first touch let Him down leading to poor efforts on goal. I’d like to see us give TJ more of the ball and have him go at full back.

The stewards let Motherwell pyro in - not much difference really is there. It's a stewarding issue

Thought pyros were banned in law?

Or maybe just "discouraged"?

I’m pleased to see us having players in midfield who can pass . Overall lots to be happy with .  Slattery for me is key to pulling the strings .

The new style of play will take time to bed in but against the majority of the league can see us having a fair amount of success .

Hey I am not complaining :D

I don't think I will ever get used to us playing out from the back

Rangers to their credit have worked very hard to close us down. Compare this approach to their approach at ibrox last season where they stood off us.

As others have said our passing and movement needs to improve. Just seems to float about. Perhaps Said being stronger might work better today in that roll.

I just hope the players get up to speed with this style of play because some of their choices of passes have been horrendous, finding a man who is marked by 2 just for the sake of passing.

Just looks shell shocked

Fadinger and Slattery look off the pace

Johnny K and longelo look good

Not convinced by Ward in goals

Saying all of that, we are still in it and the manager has said we will look to get more players in who i assume he will have picked, combined with better fitness and hopefully it will come good

They are banned. Apparently they get into Fir Park because minors bring them in and stewards can't search them

Exactly !   Not much at all between the 10 teams outside the OF. If we can improve a little bit we will pick  up a lot more points.

The manager’s preferred playing style is laudable but our midfield is too soft and easy to play through and we don’t have defenders that are capable of playing this way.

However our season won’t be defined by results against the OF.
