Andy H
There is rain and there is rain. It has not let up since the start of the year. Drainage can only shift so much
MJC
Even our own pitch has been looking worse for wear lately, there’s no question the recent weather has played a part in that. But this game surely should have been called off earlier? 9am this morning at the latest I would have said. The forecast was well known for the last few days yet it’s left to a 2.30pm inspection the inevitable result of which isn’t confirmed until about ten to four. That’s poor stuff yet again. We were forced to spend lots of cash to resolve the issues at Fir Park ie rip everything up and start from scratch, new drains, subsoil etc and we now have a good surface. Yes it was looking rough recently but i was told that was due to issues with a boiler in the undersoil heating system. Top flight games should be on proper well maintained Grass surfaces, not the shitey plastic and ploughed fields we see at some grounds. Oh and yes we should be fined if ever Fir park does not meet the standards if that was ever introduced.. Calm doon...it happens
weeyin
The East of the country has had a much higher than average January rain fall, so not too surprising. Â Â Â
grizzlyg
In the past we could be critical but that area had a 3 day weather warming for rain last week. Utd v st mirren was called off.  When a weather system centres on a small area then not much Dundee coukd have done. wellsince75
This in fairness could be just what's needed . A full week before the cup game. Â

Certainly takes and squad rotation issues out of the equation. We just go with our strongest team and worry about the Rangers game from the safety of the next round! Mine was posted and received last midweek, whereas the ticket for the recent Falkirk game never arrived.  They arranged for a ‘reprint’ to be collected at the stadium.  No suggestion of a refund of the £2.50 postage. Orinoco
Dundee is flooded. The game should have been called off this morning. Aberdeens pitch looks even worse and there must be doubts about Saturdays game. I would be a tough ask to play the way we do on those pitches. Maybe a wee rest will be of help. Heard the weather up there isn't improving the next day or two. Possibly another call off
joewarkfanclub
Aye. If the game was off tonight, I dont see Saturday going ahead unless tge forecast is wrong. Doesnt look like they will be getting any respite.

Orinoco
Spoke way to soon. Hibs cadden dives for a foul and then crosses for Hibs to score the winner.
