wellon
Maybe not the right place to post but looks like 4th will only get euro spot if team above win cup, so unfortunately got to hope one of Glasgow twins win cup....or we finish higher up the league. It's still all to play for

It's still all to play for Next season is the final season of Scotland having 5 in Europe it's the season after it drops to 4.Ā Champions enter CL Play off round 2nd enters - CL QR2 3rd/Cup winners - EL QR3 4th/3RD if team outside Celtic/Rangers win the cup- EL QR2 5th/4thĀ if team outside Celtic/Rangers win the cup - ECL QR2 Realistically the coefficent is gubbed because This season Celtic couldn't beat Kairat Almaty, Hibs didn't see out win v Legia, Rangers haven't been as good as they normally are in the EL. Aberdeen got a terrible draw in the ECL realistically should have beat Noah but it wouldn't have made much difference and Dundee Utd should have beat Rapid Vienna at a minimum after going 2-0 up. Hearts didn't beat petroclub to advance in conference league last season. Next season we realistically need every team that Qualify for Europe to make it into the group stage and then at least 3/5 to make into the KO rounds of their competitions. I think next season should us, Hearts and Hibs keep our squads together it will probably be the strongest group of teams we've had enter Europe for a while. MJC
Getting beat 2-1 at HT now too. Not that I take any pleasure from that as itās just another reminder that they are fucking rotten and we blew it in true Motherwell Cup tie fashion the other night. Aberdeen have now conceded in 13 straight league matches, 26 goals in total and I'm sure you can work out the average. [EDIT} Make that 27. Jym Bob
Motherwell have reached two finals in recent years and unfortunately faced a Celtic team who were described as the "invincibles" , unlike St.Mirren who faced a very disjointed Celtic. You need a big slice of LUCK to win a cup. Re last week :- It wasn't JAB's choice of team that lost the game but some DIABOLICAL refereeing. Young Matty's second pass was better than the one that Ward made at Parkhead. His distributionĀ thereafter was first class. Gordon - the least said the better. To win the league you need consistency and a LITTLE luck. Could we maybe get a penalty at Ibrox after the split.!!!! COYW Ā
grizzlyg
I know i am going to get dogs abuse but hey that's seems to be the norm just now but with Falkirk, pars, buddies/Partick and an average sellik team.left in cup I just wish Jens had put full team out against dons rather than changing it and bringing in an inexperienced goalie...Sparrow left back...Gordon and RCC. I genuinely feel this was our best chance in years and we have blown it. Anyway that is just my opinion so if you don't agree then fair do'sĀ
weeyin
Going down to 9 men blew it. When it was 10 v 10 we were well in the game.Ā Also, we had what everyone agreed is our strongest 11 start yesterday, so no guarantees.Ā I keep saying you need a slice of luck to win a cup. St Mirren's pen award is a great example.Ā
