St Mirren didnt really offer much and thought we were, by far, the better team. We looked a bit more composed and a big plus to see Preistman and McGinn back on the pitch. It takes some of the pressure off the players and importantly the manager who I thought got the balance of the starting line-up wrong but recognised it needed changed and made the right changes at the right time. For me St Mirren came for a point. They defended very deep and in numbers and posed very little attacking threat but we didn’t have the nous to take advantage. We huffed and we puffed but the final pass just wouldn’t come. On a side note I can’t see why Palmer-Houlden gets into the side ahead of Bjorgolfsson who caused St. Mirren’s giant defensive orks more trouble in 15 minutes than Palmer-Houlden did in 75 minutes and was unlucky not to score from nothing.
