I did say before the game I’d rather get beat and have no injuries. I have a Hard time getting worked up about the league cup, ao I’m over it already. Having said that, it was a dreadful performance on a dreadful pitch but might have brought us back to earth with a bang and help us realise we still have a lot of work to do to be. Good team. With everything rolling along smoothly we might have been getting ahead of our station. This is a stark reminder. So hopefully gives us a kick in the arse to be up amd at it on Thursday night.

I agree with that albeit I thought Whyte was not terrible. I don't know what Ross or Booth offer at this stage and it get's my goat every time the manager leads with how great Booth is . He's no where near ready. Vogts isn't any better or to be honest JT looks completely disinterested. I had given JT the benefit of the doubt as he's missed preseason but today I didn't see anything.

To cut AJ some slack, I would have started Connelly, Wilson, Hodge and Whyte today. However, I would have had either Fadinger or Priestman on from the start and switch at half time. I'd also have had Johnny K play in place of Ross for at least 45.

Some trek for that pish 😂 booth, vogt, Ross, and Wilson are nowhere near good enough to play for us hopefully it shows what we need & we get some business done quick

I'm not buying into being down the bare bones and resting players,shite pitch etc,we should have had enough at any point in that game to get the job done and we have massively fucked it up,we barely created a chance in 120 minutes and thats unforgivable.weve brought in a fortune over the summer and it's about time we got a couple of forwards in that can make a difference,cooke is poor and vogt looks like he's won a competition to be here and that should be the end of the road for the likes of wilson and ross.

Manager has to take accountability for fielding so many player out their depth. Players have to take accountability for not trying to play football - irrespective of approach or changes to personnel their approach wasn't good enough. Injuries are a real concern missing Sparrow , Williams, JK, Priestman. Lack of squad bigger concern - don't think any of the forwards we're missing would make any difference. Massive reality check today - I thought Falkirk was really poor - this like others have said was as bad as we've seen and we've seen it over and over and over again.

What we don't know is some players are maybe carrying injuries, fatigued etc. It's a wake up call but season had been going great up until today.

Lost the chance of getting to Hampden in a competition we could have done well in, unfortunately we have “previous” for doing this that’s what hurts, club just lost a lot of cash due to that performance. 😩

Really piss poor,the young lads,whyte,ross,mcallister,booth showed they are miles away from what we require,voghts ffs up front on his own,absolutely useless,a shocker all round.

The worst thing about the game itself is having to play ET on that pitch. Hopefully no further injuries. Not a great performance but may work in Alfred’s favour - can now push the board for a few more signings as we don’t really have any squad depth. hopefully forgotten about by the time they get on the bus and full focus on Thursday.

Shocking result today, just shows the lack of depth in the squad. I totally agree with others saying start with a strong team, get a few goals and then bring on the youngsters on in their numbers, At least Freiburg won’t learn anything positive here other than Motherwell can revert to shite and embarrassing performance on an absolutely shocking pitch. AJ needs to think again, Vogts is lost at this level.

Up there with the worst of Kettlewell, Hammell etc. This is our bread and butter. There is little prospect of us progressing in the ECL. Priorities massively mixed up.

Yeah, again, we have pretended that we are a big club, playing our 2nd string and they are not good enough. We have been dreadful today and AJ has to learn from it. We've thrown away a competition in which we would have a great chance of winning. Lack of respect for the competition and the opposition. Fuming about that.

Absolutely disgusted but not surprised in the slightest. Motherwell FC just cannot be trusted to win cup ties. And blame has to go to the manager today for arrogantly dropping half the first team. He’s not the first manager to do this and unless we as a club start making it crystal clear to managers then he won’t be the last.
