Everything is on the dodgy stick
-
Prem Sports Day pass at a tenner.
-
Definitely need to rest some regulars the manager will know what ones need a break , others in this team selection need game time in matches like this for experiance others to build match fitness up for the games to come. ie JT hopefully get a goal or two today.

Doubtful for cup game, don't think it will even be on the dodgy stick -
Apologies if this has been asked already. Is the game on the box?

I’m supportive of giving players time and also conscious of not pushing g players who were getting up to speed . im less convinced about changing the keeper - it doesn’t have the same argument for fatigue and I honestly don’t believe connelly to be as strong. Here’s hoping we don’t make a pigs ear of today -

Why risk injury though and when are fringe players going to get a chance? They're should still be enough there to beat Stenny. I wouldn't be happy if we lost a key player for Thursday, going to need everyone at 100% and that probably still won't be enough -
I’m quite happy with that side, I know others will disagree but we do need to rest up a few players. There’s still enough quality there to get through. priestman not there at all is more of a concern to me, there were rumours he’s out for a wee while. I was hoping these were just rumours

Hodge makes debut, strong team with a few rested

I think that’s a slightly outdated take on it. Depends what’s important to you personally as a fan. An extended run in Europe boosts the club coefficient which would allow potential seeding in the future meaning more chance of seeding and potential progression into the group phase. The LC is automatically devalued by having no associated European entry point for the winners. It’s no more valuable than winning the old summer cup. The Scottish cup is the only real cup of any value. I appreciate that may seem a radical view to some but ultimately it is true. If Motherwell qualified for the group stages of the ECL it would be far more viable financially than two games at Hampden in the League Cup. -

Yes exactly this 100 percent - Today
-
If a player hadn't fully recovered from Thursday they absolutely should be rested, but we should be fielding our strongest available team.

As time goes on as well these seats will start popping off on a weekly basis. The one bolt that holds them in place will slowly wear off, loosen and it will lead to an accident. The bend on them as soon as you gently lean on them is absolutely mental

I definetly do not think we should be resting players today, get the game done and dusted then hopefully bring on a few fresh faces While winning European games and progressing the way we have done so far is great and the icing on the cake , for me both Domestic cups are more important as I want to see us walk up those Hampden stairs and lift another trophy regardless of which cup it is -
You have my total sympathy and the more folk that keep highlighting the problem then surely the club has to act. Everything been getting run so well but this is definitely an error that needs fixed
-
Of course and I cant wait for the first dodgy decision against sellik, hopefully in our favour
-
Totally agree. Logistical nightmare during the season tho. Probably mean closing sections off while working on it. Double work because no one took the time or foresight to actually test them out. Then thought they could buy their way out of it by reducing ticket prices
-
Hope you have more luck than I did. No response whatsoever.
-
I've just emailed both the club and Society about this problem. Something does need to be done, but as Denny says, the first step would be an acknowledgement that this has gone badly wrong.
-
Yes and no. We need to move on but we absolutely should not forget or stop highlighting the scandalous officiating at the end of this game.
-
I saw 2 incidents on Thursday night of seats breaking off the floor of the stand, purely by someone leaning on the back of the seat while letting another person past in their row. These seats are not fit for purpose.
-
For me the only viable solution to the problem is for the club to acknowledge a mistake has been made in fitting these seats and then start the process to get them replaced with something fit for purpose.
-
The sad thing is that the Board are now well aware of the issues but have remained silent. Looks like they are adopting the old ostrich trick of burying their heads in the sand hoping the problem will disappear. That applies to both Boards. So much for being fan orientated. When someone eventually gets injured they might show an interest. Or maybe not.
- Yesterday

Witnessed two separate and quite nasty falls due to the seat situation. one fall put a person landing on top of people seated in the row in front, only a matter of time before there will be a reportable incident.

It’s one of the only two trophys we can realistically win. That kind of outlook might work in England for the top sides but we aren’t going to win the league title and we’re never going to do anything of note in Europe. Just dismissing it as “it’s only the league cup, let’s just rest players” is an incredibly arrogant and naive take on it.
