I actually thought that we played pretty well for the majority of the first half. The sucidal start apart, we got in their faces, won the ball high, played some nice football and created a good few chances. Felt like we were in control of the game at that point and could have been a couple of goals in the clear. The second half capitulation though, wow! Kilmarnock didnt even have to do anything special either. A few long balls over the top, 2 more gifts and we were done. How the same group of players can put in such markedly different levels of performance in the same game, is absolutely wild. We are now in deep shit and Im not sure the manager looks like he knows how to get us out of it. Starting to fear the worst......

Alfred needs to grow a pair and also not put round pegs in square holes. Desperate for him to turn it round
-
Indeed. Folk laughed when pressley got job but he gets tune out of them
-
And not driving so its Grizzly Potter and the Goblet Of Tennents!! 🤣
-
Maybe over the remainder of the season
-
More than likely. Either that or/with David Clarkson involved. Whoever it is who replaces AJ when, not if, the time comes then it will be someone already employed at the club.
-
As much as I am Unsure of the manager, the players need to step up. Far too many are half arseing it. I just watched Dundee run through brick walls tonight. We need the same. Far too many of them are chucking it and not giving 100%
-
A good manager wouldn’t allow it and would help them progress.
-
What i would say bud is if Maswanhise and Longelo aren't interested then that's poor from them. Spitting dummy out cos haven't moved but only way they get a move is by doing it on the pitch. Aye its frustrating times
-
I think the majority of us are half full, but in all honesty we are getting worse every game and playing guys out of position is a gift for rank average opposition, Jens was an event many of won’t see again but Alfred is honestly like watching Hamnells shite that was served up, just hope Kyrk reads in hear and is investigating plan B
-
Not all bad today. I am at a fancy dress charity quiz night and our team won. I went as Harry Potter so only time today someone wearing a well scarf was celebrating!! 🤣🤣 Heid up folks. We will turn this round
-
Would certainly give Irons a problem to deal with......
-
Is that another version of Palmer-Houlden? 🤣🤣
-
Cheers pal. I am keeping that glass half full but admittedly an amount spilled out it today
-
Always worries me when you get optimistic about our chances.....if we defend like we did today, that'll be a decent result.
- Today
-
Possibly yes, but my guess it will be at least December or January Providing of course results keep ending in defeats
-
The reduced home attendances will see it happen.
-
I think you’re spot on . Within the next 5-7 games Alfred will have reached a similar amount of games time where the tenure ended for Steve Hammel Jim Gannon Hari Kampman id love to be wrong but there’s a lot of similarities to their tenure
-
I don’t think jens recreates the season he had last if he stays with us ( he still has a good season but not last years level ) good managers move at the right time 1 of the issue for me is this data model chat…. hearts for example have lost what we’ve lost ( if not better ) & managed to use the data model to replace well we’ve lost players & recruited without any obvious plan How have we got it so right last year & so wrong this year?
-
No new manager any time soon, will not be happening
-
This lot couldn’t keep hens out a close!

So basically you are saying Askou couldn't have adapted and changed once teams thought they had sussed out our style of play. He has Toulouse currently sitting in 9th out of 18 teams having won 3-0 away from home yesterday. His team came back from 2-0 down away to Monaco (who are 2nd in the league) to get a 2-2 draw after he balled them out at halftime. A new country, a new league, a new style of play and he appears to be doing ok at the moment. Askou is a manager. Johansson is not.

Longelo, Fadinger and Said looked capable at this level last season. Koutroumbis and Priestman also although they've been unavailable for pretty much all of this season. Lowry looks good enough. Others, the jury is out... Problem is, of those players who have proven to be good enough at this level, none are centre halfs or centre forwards. So in both boxes (where it counts), no one proven. And very little leadership or experience anywhere in the side.. Are the players simply not good enough or could another manager get more out of them? What counts against the manager is the fact that the more training time he has had with the players, the worse we seem to play.. This is only going one way for the manager...
