I saw that. If true, its certainly a statement. Would be close to a club record fee paid for a player I would imagine. I know we did get a helluva lot more than that for Watt, so the money is there, but even still. Alfred did make a point of saying we would stick to the model that has been successful, so we wont be throwing cash around left, right and centre. But it certainly allows us to target a higher calibre player than we maybe could in the past. Obviously with the caveat we will be hoping to develop Hodge into another Eli Just type fee in a couple of years. Good times.

Cash gates havent been a thing at Fir Park for a long time. You can however buy a ticket from the ticket office between the Cooper and POD stands right up until kick off as far as I am aware.

We have played 5 competitive games so far this season. We have scored 8 and conceded 2. I get that 3 were penalties, but it was good play on all 3 occasions that created the pressure that caused the defenders to give the penalties away. I dont necessarily expect tonights game to be highscoring. But we created plenty of chances last week to prove we can threaten them going forward. Defence is key though. Keep a clean sheet and we will win the game eventually.

I think it’ll be a really tough one tonight and it’ll be a nervous one with the big crowd and all. I still think it’s 50/50 and it may go to ET. Might be a long one and a potential sore ar5e for the POD people which I am one…. I may look out a cushion and a back brace to see me through.

That was a good watch, he’s a proper decent guy and has always been a big honest player. Overly criticised at times in my opinion but that’s football. hopefully he’ll be back soon and can help improve the team.

There are no doubt a number of floating supporters tonight, I hope that they understand the way that we play nowadays and don't expect a swashbuckling display for 90 mins. I hope that we are all patient and don't start getting on the backs of the players if it isn't going as well as hoped. It is going to be a tough one tonight, but I'm looking forward to it.

Players often have a relegation release clause too, which no doubt helps. Talking earlier about the U19 trialist striker - if he's anything like that 17 year old playing for Aston Villa tonight we should get him signed up! That Villa guy is an absolute unit.
