  1. Past hour
  2. Thanks for reminding me about that. We were all scoffing in my area of the POD at his amazing recovery, that is until the VAR review was announced. I fully expected another convenient penalty to go against us, so hats off for once to the referee. Although anything is better than the OF winning the title, Hearts look like just a modern version of the team of excessive Levein/Hogg physicality and Robertson/Colquhoun "simulation".
  3. Thanks for spoiling my (half) week!
  4. This is exactly my thoughts Us to win , and Hearts to win. Having neither club as champions would be great for Scottish Football
  5. We shouldn’t expect anything other than double standards and incompetence from the media and officials when it comes to critical thinking, the application of the rules and consistency.
  6. Today
  7. Don't panic guys. Spoke with Dougie who confirmed it was a hoax call by someone he knows who is a bit of a practical joker and SSB fell for it hook line and sinker as has the Daily Record. Wouldn't like to be in his shoes when Dougie gets a. hold of him.
  8. Absolutely. The media needs to call this type of behaviour out but of course it won't for fear of offending a big club and losing patronage from its followers. It belongs in football's stoneage. That Hearts team can match the one managed by Alex MacDonald years ago. Cynical and ruthless. Also, the behaviour of Kyziridis needs to be investigated. Rolling about in agony one minute then sprinting up the pitch the next one. If Callum Slattery had done that, his 2 games suspended ban would have been implemented.
  9. Why do you want a Falkirk win? As you say i hope we win, but i want Hearts to do do the same, then for the 1st time in 40 odd years neither of the ugly sisters are champions.
  10. Yesterday
  11. Hopefully we win and Falkirk batter Hearts by an even bigger margin.
  12. Dunfermline fans are absolutely raging with us about that! 😜😜😜
  13. Sorry Dougie, as far as I'm concerned, I hope we get it right up you and Celtic on Wednesday. Motherwell great or not.
  14. Just has been targeted for a while now yet, despite looking like a frail teenager, he gets up and gets on with it, to his credit. The game today doesn't have a giant like "Tiny" Wharton who would have sorted out a team like Hearts who simply and cynically shared out the fouls on Elijah to stifle him yesterday. As Grumpy hints, I doubt this treatment would be tolerated if he played for either of the OF, just another hurdle a team like Motherwell have to cope with in the Scottish game. I'm going to go full Kevin Keegan now and say I would love it, really love it if we beat the Seat-Smashers on Wednesday, mainly because they seem to think both JBA and Just will inevitably end up at Celtic Park next year. Their sense of entitlement really gets on my nazzums.
  15. True yes , the man will always be a legend to me regardless of any headlines . The Hammer of the Old Firm and he definitely was
  16. An epic night last night. Our largest crowd for 21 years; an imaginative display by Block E; and a fantastic atmosphere. Even heard singing in the POD! More of all that next season please. Over the piece, a draw was the correct result. Hearts got in our faces and dictated the nature of the game. For our part not our best display but not bad and we displayed resilience and durability in spades. Before kick off I had decided that I wanted Hearts to win the league title but on leaving the ground, I had altered my opinion. They were cynical and targeted Just from the kick off. Very much Alex Ferguson/Matt Busby tactics "win at all costs" . Simple management from Derek McInnes just do it and don't get caught. Years ago, after several bad fouls on target player a ref like Tiny Wharton would march over threateningly to the captain of the guilty side, grab him by the throat and tell him to gather his charges around and spell out to them that no further such fouls would be tolerated. Make no mistake those fouls on Just weren't random they were orchestrated pre match, by Mr McInnes. A enthralling tense match but a bit short on quality. Our midfield allowed Hearts just too much space. Up front, I felt really sorry for TJ who had little chance of beating Hearts', defensive leviathans in the air. Oh how we miss a big striker!! SOD and Longelo were my top picks. What a goal saving clerance from SOD. I don't think its unfair to suggest that Callum Ward could have done better at their goal. Steven MacLean made a lot of minor errors but got the major ones right. Shankland's push on Welsh at their goal - very soft but I wouldn't have given it. Longelo's arm ball in the box - 100% a penalty but rightly chalked off for the push on Priestman beforehand. Kyziridis's claim? Very soft but right decision see Stephen Welsh's claim. A well earned point that helps us in our quest for 4th place. We may have to rely on Sevco though.
  17. We may get away with a weakened defence against Celtic as they're not the biggest team in the world. With a bit of luck Fadinger may be back to add some stainless steel to the midfield.
  18. It will be interesting to see if he gets more protection in a Celtic strip* than he does now, some of those challenges yesterday should have resulted in an arrest. *(In case anyone is offended, I hope he doesn't go to Celtic ,)
  19. 🤣🤣Would have won league weeks ago 🤣🤣
  20. The worst thing about that article is the headline. I'm a Motherwell great who tormented Celtic but I'm desperate for Martin O'Neill to bury Fir Park demons I know it's the way headlines are written these days, but they are constructed to make it look like a quote when he actually didn't say any of that.
  21. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/im-motherwell-great-who-put-37137011 Aw naw Dougie naw, this man was class and always will be always. If he supports Celtic which I heard years ago fine by me Wasnt expecting him to phone in though
  22. But how would we have done with a good goalie in place? Only joking.
  23. Those three defeats to Falkirk will go down as one of life's great mysteries and I suspect JBA still loses sleep over it. I suppose it could be explained by concluding that the spawny, diving Bairns got every refereeing decision in their favour and we got hee-haw but I'm not really qualified to judge 🤣.
  24. That is class from Skippy A professional guy who was just doing his job that day, on the subject of that day I had no idea up til about a year ago Rab Douglas in goals that day is a big Motherwell fan. He mentioned in an interview with Tam Cowan
  25. Believe it or not I was in having a few pints before the game yesterday, I bumped into a Rangers fan. Known the guy for years and a really nice guy He wanted to ask me a serious question which was why do Motherwell fans hate Rangers so much? We dont see this same level of hatred with Celtic. I said just try going to a Motherwell v Celtic game and you might think different but didnt seem to believe me. He also suggested we dont give Rangers the whole of the South Stand any longer and why is this? I corrected him as of course , both Rangers, Celtic and Hearts have sold out this stand . There is a definete paranoia thing here I was thinking but we left it at that. Decent bloke like I say . Anyway moving on to Wednesday's game I find it quite comical now that Martin O'Neill lost a league title at Fir Park in 2005 and potentially lose another one should things go according to plan. Hopefully no 98th minute winners, or wrecking off the Seats
  26. Exactly, pumped sellik 2-0 In December , won 3-2 at ibrox. Drew with hearts 3 times. We go for it every game...well apart from lieing doon against Falkirk 🤣🤣
