  3. Likely Balmer and Ox. JBA keeps mentioning Halliday’s recovery, so he’s potentially in the plans as midfield cover. Halliday might be alright with that too. He’ll get minutes once he’s fit since JBA rotates a lot. Not the worst bit of cover if he’s willing to play the JBA way. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if all three moved on.

  6. Balmer a certainty, clearly not rated. Cant fault his effort or enthusiasm but not going to feature
  7. Never an easy game in Dundee. Surely Goodwin will have learnt something from playing and watching us to set his team up properly. Upto to us to keep it tight and find ways to counter. Going to be interesting. Plenty of plaudits, but can we keep the run going. Very tough ask in this league.
  8. Maybe Oxburough and Balmer. The goalie perhaps showing in training he is not as good as Ward with ball and feet. Also Balmer is just average at best and way down pecking order.
  9. At the end of his latest interview, JBA stated that there were one or two players who will need to move on in the next window. Andy Halliday and Kofi Balmer anyone?
  10. I'm shocked that any Jim Goodwin team would have poor discipline.
  11. Like any investment the hard part is trying to find the best time to sell. Might be January, might be end of season or maybe the season after that. again like any investment what dividends do we realize while we hold onto our assets?
  12. Our model is to sell and re invest in other areas of the club. January after AFCON will be Maswanhise's peak value while he's a Motherwell player. I think it's fairly likely we cash in on him and try and replace him. Welsh is out with our control he's a Celtic player and they can do as they please with him.
  13. ‘Mon the ‘Well Nice to have a full week between the games for players to recover and work on stuff in training. The flip side though is that it seems Like ages before Saturday comes around again amd when our team is playing this well and getting results, you just want the next game to come along as quick as possible. We are certainly capable of getting 3 points but we will have to play well, take our chances amd stay solid at the back. We don’t get the 3 points just for turning up. We have the footballing ability but all the best teams also have the mental ability, not to become complacent, to maintain focus and stick to the proven plan.
  14. I recommend this book Excellent purchase
  15. Wasn't sure what chat to put it on but there was a lovely clip on the Facebook page from calendar signing and wee girl getting her photo taken with SOD, she was so excited as SOD obviously her hero. Just love seeing that and the way the players have great bond with fans. I know all clubs will do it but I just love our club and how the players have a close bond with the supporters. No doubt jinxed us for Saturday now if we lose and it's back to. BOOOOOOO, RUBBISH........YER ROTTEN. 🤣🤣

  18. Never seen Dixie Deans as a player as he was before I was born Do remember a Friend's Dad from School (lifelong Celtic fan) telling me he used to pay money to go to Fir Park to watch Dixie Deans, then was delighted when he went to Parkhead as he could still watch him Obviously very very good
  19. Hard to pick a team nowadays with our bench being so strong. So here goes Ward Koutroumbis Gordon Welsh Longelo Watt Fadinger Just Charles Cook Stama Maswinhise I mean O'Donnell & McGinn have done nothing wrong to miss out. I wouldn't play Said this game but would consider him v Dundee.
  20. I started going to fir park was in 1968 and Dixie was one of the stars of that team that steamrollered their way to winning the second division . But despite his many goals my main memory of Dixie was in the new year game at Hamilton where him and Lamont the arses goalie were in the middle of the six yard box punching lumps out of each other and unsurprisingly both sent off. Yet another in a list of players over the years that Celtic have stolen from us . RIP Dixie
  21. Dixie was one of the first heroes of mine. Gave opposition centre halfs a torrid time with his ability to "hang" in the air and shall we say "combatitive" style on the ground. Gave Mike England of Spurs the run around in our Texaco Cup tie. RIP
  22. Now that we are all much more comfortable with Jensball, Im all up for more Cruyff Turns on top of our unecessary passes & dribbles! Just need to sort the striker berth to get back to having more high goal shoots! 😆😆😆
