  1. Past hour
  2. Totally agree, I've never understood why we need to change the strip every season or two, its unecessary nonsense. Why can't we just find a design, in the club colours and keep it as do Celtic, Newcastle, etc who had had the same basic design forever. For me if I had a choice between the hoop or the stripes, I'd pick stripes as per the shirt we wore in the mid 1920's that was a cracker.
  3. I'd say it was also too fussy. Doesn't need all those extra fine pinstripes. Designers these can't help themselves these days. Just because technology makes it easy and possible to keep adding things, doesn't mean you should.

  5. Thats a far superior kit in every way 🧡❤️🧡
  6. I wasn't far away
  7. Agree completely and with MJC's comments above. It's far too fussy and busy and a horizontal band and verical pinstripe just don't work, even before we get on to The Shorts Question. Our "Theo Bair" year jersey was fine imo and should be our basic template. If the likes of Newcastle United can keep their stripes for a century without needless experiment why not us? We can do that with the other two strips each year. The hoop is such a distinctive feature it's a pity the club don't seem to value it as a "brand". It was used for sixty years until about 1968 and we won the league, cup and league cup wearing it. Oh, well, maybe next year, if I'm still around.
  8. Kettlewells a big enough comedian. Killie fans will see that when his team plays.

  10. I wouldn't worry, you want to hear the language she uses at me 🤣🤣🤣
  11. Was chatting about this strip with my brother and he said it looks like the 2019/20 kit with the stripes reversed.
  12. I literally just shat my breeks there. Went on the BBC sport Scotland web page and right next to the 'Pressley is new Dundee manager', there was a headline saying 'McGhee joins Motherwell'. Took me a minute and a fair bit of colon tightening until I remembered.........
  13. Another team to loathe re Killie. Hope he takes some of our journeymen. Make it at Mirren mark 3. Now we got 2 well reserve teams.
  14. Ok , I promise I won't use foul language in front of Mrs Grizzlyg then.

    New kit for 2025/26

Plain and mostly Amber. No pinstripes.
  16. What’s the back of the shirt look like

    New kit for 2025/26

I don’t and never have agreed with this idea that we need to “mix it up” when it comes to our home kit. I’m not expecting or demanding a claret hoop every season but our home kit, in my opinion, should consist of a predominantly Amber jersey with the Claret worked into it in some form. I know the shorts colour splits opinion as many prefer white but for me it should always be mostly Claret shorts. That keeps it simple and true to our classic home colours. Why stray from that? Someone said the other week that we have two home colours so that’s why we don’t stick with tradition like other clubs do, but the same could be said for Newcastle with their Black and White….do they ever release home kits that are miles out from their tradition just so they can be a “bit different”? No chance. We’ve done well with this new one. Band/hoop or not and that is largely how a Motherwell FC home kit should look as it properly embraces our colours.
  18. Agree with the first comment. Saying that I like the new strip.... except for the sledgehammer of a sponsor across the front of course. Regarding your second point, personally I like the fact we've mixed it up a bit recently, switching between something traditional and something different every other season... keeps things interesting if nothing else. Looking forward to the away kit. Would love to see claret with amber band. Not done that since early 00s if im not mistaken? 🤔
  19. 🤣🤣🤣, right any more and I am going to contact Derek McGregor of The Sun for an exclusive interview 🤪🤪🤪
  20. Hope to feck we never paid a fee for that transfer.
  21. You beat me to it, but I agree 100%.
  22. Given that I'm about 40 years older than their target demographic for shirt sales, my thoughts are irrelevant. If it was a nod to 100 years ago, however, I would have kept it stripes only.
  23. I would have liked that actual design better, with claret shorts, obviously.....
  24. In fact that one was smarter.....
  25. Not for me. Too fussy. Band or pinstripes. Not both. Just looks a bit of a rehash of the one from a few seasons back. And G4 Claims is just a shit sponsor
  26. He may well be a motherwell fan but he will need to toe the bbc old firm line , the same as Gordon Duncan on snide.
  27. Nick McPheat is a Well fan. I don’t think he is purposefully promoting home grown / old boys. Rather, he suggests, and I agree, that of those candidates, Robbie Neilson is the only realistic standout option. He’s also avoided speculation along the lines of the bookies odds. On pre-season, the Club announced: Our first-team will return to Fir Park for pre-season on Wednesday 18 June, before setting off for Delden, Netherlands, on Wednesday 25 June. I think we’ll either see Robbie Neilson or David Healy, or another complete data-driven random, get the gig this week or next.
