Going off the same timescale as appointing both Wimmer and Jens we're looking at the end of this week for an announcement. I think on both occasions securing a work permit took over a week so there's a chance we already have our guy we're just waiting on the paperwork being official.

We're pretty much on the same timeline as the last 2 appointments, and there's still plenty of time before pre-season. In theory, we could have started early because we knew JBA was leaving, but i believe it was similar with Wimmer.

I thought it would be done by now tbh given the club will knew they’d have to replace . Leads to me suspecting we’ve not secured our primary preferred candidate(s) got to think something will happen this week . meanwhile credit to the club for keeping it tight , they manage that side of things well .

The Euro draw is on Wednesday 17 June and the players return on Thursday 18 June.

I think this has a lot to do with it. A lot has to do with who the more influential players want to go on a two week trip with. Cos it won’t be any more than 2 weeks. i hate feeling like this about Scotland but that last tournament put the tin lid on it for me. Apart from the last Denmark game (which we stunk the house out for about 70mins of) we were awful to watch throughout that campaign. I still want to go in hoping we can do ok but I fear the worst…. For me it doesn't make sense especially when Clarke is very loyal ( ridiculously overloyal to some) I still think its to get Fletcher capped so england cant pinch him but i sometimes think maybe our squad is too cliquey and Clarke being very influenced by senior players
