  1. Past hour
  2. Dalziel HS I'm guessing
  3. Furlong available on a free transfer
  4. Usually means they have a minor niggle from training and the coaching staff don't want to risk them in a training match.
  5. To be fair, Millar had other talents. OK, one other talent, and that was kicking a ball very very hard.
  6. Perhaps he wanted to see what those players can do in game situations. He must already have a good idea on the first team players from video of last season.
  7. Today
  8. He certainly did, which was strange for Peter Millar, cause taking a pen didn't involve flattening an opponent ๐Ÿ˜
  9. Do we know why we were missing so many 1st teamers? TJ injured & just will be on his holidays. Aside from that, whats the deal with the rest of them? Surprised ward, longello & said not featuring
  10. These are training games. If we get turned over by Hanvar and pumped out of Europe then I might start to get concerned. Hopefully a couple more signings in this week.
  11. An interesting post from Dinnae-Punt-It on P & B. He/she rightly points out that, despite our paper thin squad, Longelo, Wilson and Thor didn't get any game time in Jutland, as far as we know. I was thinking exactly the same thing.
  12. I don't remember Richie Foran missing any.
  13. Aye Yes Sir! Mr Whiteford Sir!
  14. Did Peter Millar not take a few of our penaltys in the seventies . I was young then but seem to recall him taking them, and scoring a few.
  15. Yesterday
  16. I won't be worried about lack of depth unless we are having this conversation in September.
  17. Does the reliance on the youngsters in the second half show that we are lacking depth which may get worse if we are to lose Just Watt etc? think itโ€™s good that he gave them a run out to see what he has but worryingly perhaps also shows the lack of depth.
  18. One for the real oldies, Johnny Aitkenhead. Never saw him myself, but my father claimed that he was the best penalty taker he had ever seen for us. His ability to accurately pass the ball into the corner of the goal was both simple and effective.
  19. One for us oldies. Dave Whiteford. If I remember correctly. Might be a bit biased though. His first game for MFC was the first Motherwell game I attended. Truth be told I did not know that until 5 minutes ago. St Johnstone at FP in 1966. 3-3. Went on to partner Joe Wark for many a year.
  20. First pick: Brian McLaughlin.
  21. Stama would probably pull a hamstring just placing the ball on the penalty spot.
  22. I was worried that might go over some heads...grizzly dug me out...thanks
  23. Yep. Was trying to think who took penalties in that 93/94 team...
  24. Rab McKinnon (could smash a ball)
