  1. Past hour
  2. All part of his management style, although he may well feel McGhee does fit into his plans.
  3. Today
  4. WOW! I can see the blast furnaces chimneys around the new ground at Ravenscraig Good video Goggles.
  5. I doubt if McGhee will start but would expect him to get maybe 30-45 mins if he's in JBA's plans? Certainly JBA praised him to the hilt when he recovered from injury and built upo expectations.
  6. My recollection was that it was Martin Peters. Martin Chivers had the potential to be one of the best centre forwards of all time, he was so talented. However, that natural instinct was coached out of him. What a night that was though. Fir Park was packed.
  7. Yesterday
  8. If McGhee starts tomorrow, that would be a huge risk. He has barely featured since his return to fitness and cant have anywhere near the minutes necessary to be thrown in from the start. It would be very "Un-Jenslike" to throw him in like that.
  9. Exactly - and him being on some PR pre game makes me think he will start and SOD at right back
  10. A win for us and a draw for Kilmarnock.
  11. The Metro Newspaper in their weekly predictions has us down for a 2-1 win tomorrow funnily enough I would absolutely take this , and would love it if we beat them
  12. I would have thought if he was in JBAs plans his minutes would have been built up by now. He certainly cant start. From the little Ive seen, he looked slow and ponderous. Not surprising given his injuries, but would have expected to see him feature more as he tried to regain fitness.
  13. Yes, my failing mind thought either MC or Martin Peters. I think they stayed overnight at the Bruce Hotel in EK and there is a persistent story they signed wee kids' autograph books with silly names. The match itself is one of my happiest memories since 1962: gulp!
  14. Id Jordan McGhee not due some game time?
  15. Can't quite remember the name of the Spurs player who is reported to have grudgingly said of that night, "Motherwell were all muck and nettles."
  16. Surely the only available option. And I know you're not Shirley......
  17. Remember it well , over 22,000 packed in that night .
  18. I think Sparrow and Longelo full backs with Jack and Victor centre defence
  19. My very 1st game at Fir park that night, took me 20 mins to work my way to the front of the old terracing where the cooper stand is now, before i could see anything.
  20. Oh christ don't tell me Gordon will be playing tomorrow he is the only player when i see starting that gives me the fear! I think we will win tomorrow 2-1 to the Claret and Amber. Watt and Tj to score.
  21. This is sad news. Did he not have a great game against a very strong Tottenham Hotspur when we beat them at Fir Park in the Texaco Cup? What a night that was (3/11/70)!
  22. Missing Welsh and Johnny K certainly weakens us in a squad sense as it removes options for freshening things up. However, SOD & McGinn have been very good in the middle together so Id expect them to start. As Ive posted elsewhere, Celtic aren't without their own issues, with CVV, Johnston, Trusty, Engels and MacGregor all likely to be missing and possibly Tierney as well. Centre half pairing likely to be Scales & Dane Murray, so I think they can be got at. Martin O'Neill teams are generally solid and hard to play against, so Id expect a harder game.than we got at Fir Park, but by the same token they are not gonna play a low block and hit us on the counter, so we should get more space to play our football. We need some chaos back in our lives! Go Ibi! 🧡❤️🧡
  23. Both options would be good value for money.
