  1. Past hour
  2. He's behind most of the team in terms of match fitness which is plainly evident. He's also a striker and needs an open play goal for the confidence boost.
  3. We all love a wee stat. Motherwell have won more European matches in their last 4 matches than Rangers have in their last 15 matches.
  4. Still buzzing!!, one of the best nights at Fir Park in the 49 years I have been attending matches. The feelgood factor is amazing and when you consider we lost 4 first team regulars plus Welsh on loan it's remarkable that most replacements have hit the ground running. Only Vogt has struggled a bit but the lad needs time to settle. Midfield is looking so strong now with Hodge arriving and Olly Whyte who I think could make a big impact. Maswanhise a concern as just not the same player. If he wants a move he aint exactly helping his chances but I feel if we can get a centre forward then he moves out wide which will suit him better. Ahhhhh happy Friday folks
  5. There was also a through pass that split the centre backs and just eluded two players bursting in behind. Given time those attackers will know what he is capable of and react a split second earlier and so make the most of his vision.
  6. His cross to pick out Maswanhise in the six yard box was outstanding. I know what you mean about the misplaced passes but, to be fair, they weren't necessarily the wrong pass. There was one that he played out to the right wing that would have taken out a couple of defenders but Johnny checked back rather than make the run. Went out for a throw, so looked like a bad pass. The players will get to know what he is capable of over the season.
  7. Sounds a nightmare for folk in the POD just now. I can imagine when we start "STAND UP AND SING FOR MOTHERWELLLLLLLL", the response is........."We can't.......we're stuck!!"
  8. A good travelling support seems to be building.
  9. Yup , I have been really impressed with JGR, also slotted in easily at right back so another option there
  10. Some night was up til 2am and delighted to say me and my friend are going to freiberg
  11. There is a feeling that something great is being built, but we need to realise that it is very early days and could easily be derailed. We all need to stick by the team when we inevitably hit a bump in the road. Undoubtedly, there is an upward trajectory and it feels great, but it'll be a bit of a rollercoaster as we, hopefully, build something memorable, long-lasting and ultimately successful.
  12. Today
  13. I would hope not, myriad reasons for the turnaround since we brought in Wimmer
  14. Hilarious last night at end of game. Guy in front of me on stairs was carrying his seat and handed it into the Director's box on way out. From what I saw it was held in place by one giant screw which had come loose. Maybe we should all try that. Never got a chance to ask him what the reaction was.
  15. Someone is going to have to have a wee word with AJ. This cautious, patient approach to signings is not the Motherwell way. Does he not know, that each season, we sign 15+ loan signings, who fall into one of three categories: signed while injured, injured during first appearance or injured during training session. This sensible approach is worrying ...
  16. Said over on P&B, we seem a far more credible club now from top to bottom. Slowly eroding the 'plucky wee club' culture to become a more serious outfit. Is there any going back now?
  17. So many great performances tonight. Special mention to Lowry, who really came good and put in tremendous effort. No doubting his commitment and attitude tonight, both were excellent. I realise that Said will take the plaudits for his game changing contributions, but for me Moorman is class. He completely controlled the backline and his passing through the lines is reminiscent of Watt. What a player he could be for us this season. Moorman for me.
  18. Knees killing me after jumping up twice for two outstanding goals. Banging them on seat back in front , take that every game if we play like that. Should be a rule you don't leave til the passage way is clear. 🤣 Ok when every one has a t shirt on the now , but Jan and Feb when its two jackets and layers time will be a right laugh, passing each other. 😃
  19. That was one for the ages. A very professional performance against the biggest club in Finland. Ok they are not Barcelona, but this is a team who qualify for Europe most seasons and have reached the group stages only a few years ago. We schooled them. Thought Lowry and Said were superb. Moorman is a step up on Welsh, he is that good and was delighted to see Olly Whyte stroll about the park like a veteran midfielder. Whats brilliant about being a Motherwell fan these days is that this is not just a flash in the pan, this is it now. We are a football club who has grasped the fact you need to modernise and play football the right way and the rewards will come.
  20. Not sure what was more outrageous last night. Said's goals or the queues for a pie! 🤣
  21. Wearing same number as well
  22. Very reminiscent of another former Rangers player who arrived at Fir Park trying to resurrect his career.....
  23. It doesn’t half put a spring in your step doesn’t it. That was absolutely brilliant last night and I’m struggling to keep the smile off my face. I’m in work, it’s a Friday ….. it’s a good day. For any of you who are football obsessed (me) Freiburg are playing Crystal Palace tomorrow (it’ll be on the firestick and I’m sure other reputable mediums) should give us an idea of their starting team as I believe it’s their last friendly before the German league starts
  24. An epic night that will live long in my memory. Credit to AJK and the players.
  25. You can see that right now his footballing brain is a step ahead of some of his team mates, but a few more weeks together and they should be in sync.
