  3. The potential ins and outs i think may happen as the players are now back for pre-season Starting with the outs some were rumours early on last season so going from that this is what id take Callum Ward £1 million Polish league or english championship Tawanda maswanhise £3-£5 million Belgium or turkey Elijah just £2.5 + million solid world cup so far and plenty of eyes on him latest rumour is southampton Elliot watt £2-£3 million championship preferably Now to the less likely ones but still potential of losing them or id be happy to see them go Aston Oxborough £200k-750k feel he'd want more first team football and there's a few clubs down south that'd take him Ewan wilson not sure hes suited to the football we play now so probably either another loan or sold for 250k Ibrahim said £1.5 million would rather he didnt leave but there's not many players like him Luca ross - loan needs more game time Callum hendry £375k + Yeovil town interested and the new manager will probably have an idea of the kind of striker he likes Expect a few younger ones to go out on loan Understand most people not likely to agree but will do an incoming post later on tonight

    Our New Manager

    Motherwell manager thread.
  5. Its soul destroying watching Scotland get to tournaments now and its a non event its focused on the supporters than the team I am so bored with it all I am more invested watching King Eli and New Zealand see how they fair. I have watched every team in action now and we are 100 percent in the bottom 5 for negative tactics. Sad part is it will be the same squad going into next tournament unless they retire cause Clarke will have the mindset of lets go again boys. Hanley before Welsh aye Steve you couldn't pick yer nose its job for my pals.
  6. And he got a four-year contract BEFORE the WC. You'd almost think the SFA were trying to destroy Scottish football and its reputation, innit? Mrs Dosser, after just about getting over losing "Lovely Jens", said we should have sacked Clarke and given JBA the Scotland job, given what he had achieved in transforming MFC with a squad without "star" players. Some hope! #DinosaurBlazers

    Our New Manager

Kevin Nicol a Scot managing in Norway for 10 year on sports sound at 5pm there with a good description of what our manager is ,has done and how he likes to play. Sounds very very promising . Left last job at Rosenburg because they sold some main players and weakened the team. All very positive stuff.
  8. Totally agree. K Bowie and L Miller sitting back home and donkeys like Dykes and McLean on park. Clarke's a clown.

    Our New Manager

    StevusClarkius of the genus shittytacticus.
  10. He's an absolute dinosaur.
  11. At least our new manager isn’t Steve Clarke.
  12. McGinns situation not surprising nor are the other gaps across the squad - reasonable to expect that we have several players lined up and now that players contracts have expired Im hoping the next couple of weeks we see several quality players come through the door. Hope that we sort out the others who are leaving at pace as well. No point in having them around if they're not staying.
  13. You've nailed it sir. McGinn will be 36 by the time he recovers and you have to ask what his future contribution will be. By the time he comes back in, we will likely have a new established central defence. A bit part player at best? Its really sad as he's been great for us and deserves to go out on a high, but we have to be realistic. Hendry? His signing baffled me at the time, even moreso now. His style never suited us as he was more of a Curtis Main type; a foil for someone else and not a goalscorer. A square peg in around hole if you will. Then we have his seemingly serious injury record and yet again he's out. When did this latest injury occur? I can see both players being passengers to greater or lesser degrees this term. As for central defence - time is not on our side. Hopefully Nick Daws identified targets many months ago.
  14. I certainly overlooked him, largely because of his subtle and sensitive playing style and I know others who did also. An easy player to overlook. I'll put it on record here though that he deserves a higher profile. Much of the great work he did was quiet and subtle and easy to miss. A small flick here or a seemingly innocuous pass there that led to goals often scored by someone else. A great player.
  15. I very rarely hear him mentioned while others like Coyne, Pettigrew, Cooper, McAllister, Faddy, Miller etc. are often discussed.

  17. Russell often surprisingly overlooked by Motherwell fans, but was a great player for us - and even better when he was reunited with Cooper.
  18. Jens wasn't our preferred choice last summer either so if that is the case this time I wouldn't get too bothered about it.
  19. Very interesting. There are rumours from reliable sources that JBA had informed the Board quite a few weeks/months ago that he was moving on at the end of the season. Now if they are indeed true, it seems odd that we took so long to make an appointment. Like you I'm beginning to suspect that our preferred choice didn't come to fruition. Anyway, good luck to AJ.
  20. Announced at Gillingham, I'd consider that further east at least.
  21. Good luck to the new manager. He obviously has an incredibly hard act to follow but the foundations and budget should be there to give him the best possible chance of succeeding. interesting that discussions only commenced 10 days or so ago and the appointment was in the balance until earlier this week. I had hoped that behind the scenes we knew who our preferred choice was a few weeks ago. Maybe we did and that appointment didn’t come to fruition. Sounds like Alfred hasn’t watched videos of us until this week so he’s going to do well to hit the ground running. Hopefully there are two or three signings for him to rubber stamp before we head to Denmark.
  22. Everyone's in the same boat when it comes to the window. My 10 week calculation was correct though, and that's the most important thing here 😎
  23. 100%. Our first Euro tie is just about 5 weeks away. Despite some comments on social media to the contrary, we have quite a few vacancies to fill especially in central defence.
