It's that time again, where we look forward to a new season and discuss who's getting punted, how much we're getting for them, and who we're bringing in. Let the rumours and nonsense begin.

Really loving the Jens interviews. Our players will be sold, because thats our model. But they will be sold for a fee that we believe benefits the club AND most importantly, they wont all be sold at the one time. Basically, no chance of a wholesale clearout in the close season. Top man.

Another great polished Jens presser, great answers about ignorant Steve Clarke and the transfer rumours by the rancid media, but the positive thing to come out of the Scottish guys non pick is that they have a chance to recharge and go again for the run in and clinch 3rd place ahead of the blue uglies. Im hoping that we all head to Fir Park on Saturday ān raise the roof for the team n get that result over Hibs and āStand up for Motherwellā and ditch the negativity. CMYW!!!!

Another Thursday, another great listen - especially his closing answer, even if some don't feel the same way.

Happened to watch the 3 of these on BBC and i thought our bunch came over really well. Which to be honest didnāt come as a surprise. Even as an old fud I recognise their importance in creating an atmosphere and a bit of colour and I do view they do a lot for the community, as well as a lot for the young people attending games. as much as some of it was a bit cringey, in particular the the wee Simon Murray lookalike youtuber, in general it was fine and gave a good account of Motherwell as a club and as a fanbase.

Also back on topic, beat Hibs, consolidate 4th and chase down Hearts for third as I fully expect them to collapse.

Donāt agree with that at all. He has totally transformed the national side and Hampden is the hottest ticket in town. He has brought Miller into the team and done the same with Hickey, Doak and now Curtis. If someone said we would get a manager that qualified for 3/4 tournaments he competed in would bite your hand off for that.
-
Im suprised anyone outwith his favourites turn up. Clarke is everything that is wrong with the Scottish game.
-
Thats what the rules say apparently. At the highest level and cant get it right.
-
Ref analyst on the US telly said it should have been a red because Tripper made no attempt to play the ball and the Barca player was very likely to have been able to reach it if he wasn't pulled.
-
Newcastle player commits similar offence to Longelo against Barcelona. Referee initially gave nothing only for VAR to get involved. Penalty and yellow card given! Whats the rules again? As someone said our officials always go for the most severe punishment.
-
Possibly. And he has had better players at his disposal. Hard to argue, however, that his predecessors massively underperformed. And I still believe we beat Denmark because the talented players ignored the tactics. 3 moments of individual brilliance instead of grinding out a 1 - 0.
-
Tournament expansion a larger factor?
-
Again Adams is probably better than people make out but yer man has him running his ass off for 90 mins , so he's not hoing to be where he needs to be when chances come SC has benefited from us having some good midfielders and left backs but they are getting past it.
-
After seeing squad for friendlies, I really am not too fussed about wc. Hanley probably isn't as bad as people make out but he is being hung out to dry by Clarke...surely guys like Welsh , Milne , some of the guys at Falkirk are worth a look rather than Tony Raltson , for example....just doing the same thing is going to end same way as Euros. It's not as if the qualifiers were that great, we got outplayed a few times but somehow won, that won't last.
-
Sticking with the misfiring and serial sitter missed Adams, for years tells you his philosophy on football. But he has got us to a few finals, but then his weaknes and lack of dynamic approach has caught us out with embarrassing exits. Loyalty to your players is one thing but sticking with them when they are clearly past it is another.

Iād have sacked him at half time v Germany and got the unemployed Moyes in the studio to take over. he has qualified for tournaments but letās be honest, itās groups that we should have got out of and it is (apart from the centre of defence) the best group of players weāve had in over 20yrs. Weāve also been humiliated at both tournaments playing a horrific style of football. anyway, apologies this is a match thread. 3 points to the Well on Saturday.

Clarke took a dysfunctional team in a dysfunctional setup where nobody wanted to play for the national side. He turned it around into a squad that started qualifying for tournaments again. He did it using his own methods, and those same methods managed to get us to this year's World Cup. As the last 2 Euros showed, the same approach fails miserably in the finals, and for me he should have been punted after the last Euros. While he is in charge, though, there is zero reason to imagine he will change anything that got him to the finals and kept him in a job - and that includes remaining overly loyal to some mediocre players.
