  1. Past hour
  2. In other news Martin sacked. Bizarrely he has same record in league as JBA. We are getting loads of praise, just shows you expectations of clubs. Personally I think JBA has been great appointment and is getting us there slowly but surely
  3. The supposed big point in his favour, which atoned for other sins, was that he was good with his feet. Hmm...
  4. He can make lots of types of errors/mistakes then? That don't make it better. I'm with Grizzly. Hoped the best for him but he's costing us points. He also can't command his area and can't deal with crosses. Falkirk goin to put pressure on him on next game , knowing he's liable to make error and test him with crosses also.
  5. Agree totally, but point is they are all mistakes he has made. Surely Ox cant be that bad that he doesn't deserve at least a chance?
  6. Firstly, Id seperate the previous handling errors from this one as they are not the same type of mistake. 🙄🙄🙄
  7. For me , hearts game he spills a shot.....killie game ...spills a simple catch....today.....bonkers pass to opposition. His errors aren't just down to new style. Nice lad and doing his best but imo how many more games is he going to cost us before JBA needs to be ruthless
  8. Its almost as if Jens is a good manager who knows what he is doing! 😉
  9. Sorry but I disagree. Firstly, Id seperate the previous handling errors from this one as they are not the same type of mistake. If the manager tries to drum into you in training that you dont just hoof it and goes on at lengths to show why doing so was why we lost against Hearts, then you can understand why Ward was reluctant to put the laces through it today. Its still a bad decision. He should hoof it. But this is a team having to learn an entirely new way of playing. We all feared that this was the type of goal we would conceed, so no surprise that it has happened, other than its taken this long. The important thing is whether he/we learn from this and can avoid doing the same again.
  10. He was careful in his after match interview not to mention any specific mistakes or single out anyone as being the cause of our defeat so I agree with your last statement. I’m thinking there will be some discussion to try and make sure we don’t repeat avoidable mistakes.
  11. The errors made by Ward are nothing to do with the system JBA is asking the players to play, they are pure and simply him making a complete James Hunt of it and failing to meet the basic requirements of a goal keeper, ie catching the ball or not passing it straight to an opposition player.
  12. There is also other options in January I'd a goalie becomes available that is good with his hands and feet.
  13. Think this hurts so much cause of the progress we have made and certainly at the moment Celtic seem to be flat. Maybe it was our best chance to get something for a good while It’s really early in our new system and with the injury to folk like Just Sule Slattery we are maybe a bit light in the depth department. That to me though is the managers job development these players and bring up the quality overall. It’s only game 7 in the league. If we continue with these types of performances I think we will do well.
  14. Or Ward could have taken the simple, easy and sensible option of just booting it up the park as far as possible and we would not have lost a goal.
  15. Our system doesnt work that way. We need the keeper to step up and be an extra player at the back to create the space to play out. If Jens is watching Ox in training he will know whether rhe is capable of that or not. Id wager thats why he supported Ward so strongly after the repeated mistakes. Id also wager he will do the same again after this one.......
  16. Today
  17. We are due them a brubin ,in a cup game.
  18. Didn’t know which McGinn to vote for so went for Stama
  19. Sorry but WTF? What did those three do today that merited that? Gordon had a good game today, made some crucial interceptions and a few good forward passes. SOD’s being that good this season so far that some folk were wondering why he’d been dropped. McGinn’s just back from injury and played well today. Not one of them were at fault for the goals conceded today so why single them out? ward made 1 horrible pass that gave them a goal and a few saves that kept us in the game before and after it. Yes it pisses me off that we didn’t get anything from the game but I’m not going to go off on one about the keeper never mind players who did feck all wrong today.
  20. Wooo dismissing St Mirren at our peril. 😂😂
  21. At least now we know what to do and what not to do in the league cup final.
  22. We've also got to remember that's was not our strongest team.
  23. As bad as it was, I'm happy to let Ward away with that one. Until now, his passing hasn't come into question - it's mistakes with his hands which have been the issue. Hopefully a lesson learned for him and one he can grow from. Another enjoyable game though it has to be said, even with the late defeat. It had a bit of the Hearts draw about it...in a great position and we just didn't quite know what to do with ourselves. Maybe Jens needs to add another string to his bow and get the team able to play low block, hoof it away type stuff when required.
  24. I'm not going overboard about how we now play but I'd far rather watch what we are watching to the boot and rush shite we see far too often. In days gone by fans would fork out £36 for zero attacks, zero shots and an endless stream of blooter it anywhere. Those who went today at least had something to get behind.
  25. Wise comments. I (really) couldn’t have put it better myself.
  26. I'm as disappointed as the next fan but have seen it all before and many times at that. I wasn't expecting anything today. Just as I'm not going overboard about our new type of play I'm not going overboard about yet another defeat at Parkhead.
  27. Hope so mate. Least the weather in Texas can cheer you up. It's cold here in Giffnock. 🥶
