Foundations built on sand which were laid under both previous ownerships too come crumbling down. Losing their ‘elite’ academy status (which many like the Dundee clubs believed to be ill gotten) meant major loss of funding stream to operate. Don’t think the club envisaged that action. They’re not the first club in recent years to close or pause their academies. Queens Park who are every bit as renowned as Accies ceased their operation this year. Sign of the times? Unfair on ‘charlatan’ owner who’s no doubt made mistakes in those he’s employed to oversee operations when the known rogue who owns the ground gets a relatively free ride from those boycotting. Little sympathy for a support who hate us more than they love their own club.

Disappoined not to see this incident on the highlights. Don't know why it would have been edited out. As Richard Tait will tell, you its quite possible to win a foul and still be yellow carded for simulation. Great pass by Elliot Watt for our gaol.
-
We will see. Its still a work in progress with a load of new players still trying to get to know one another and get used to the new managers style/instructions. I think its great we are still unbeaten at this stage with so much obvious growth in the team still to come. Osong will offer something different when fit and if we have signed Callum Hendrie, then we at least have options and competition for places.

Perhaps, but if that were the case, Stama would either be outside the box after dropping deep or stuck on the penalty spot. While his work rate is commendable, it does not translate into the instinct or positioning needed to score goals.
-
We definitely see this differently. The delivery from Longelo and Sparrow from very good areas was rotten pretty much all game. Maswanhise and Said not much better. If any of the numerous opportunities that presented themselves had been delivered across the 6 yard line, we might not have had to go to extra time. For me, our problems in the last 3rd are more down to poor decision making than anything else. Of course, every player can always do better, and Stama needs to do more with the limited chances he is being given, but his work rate and movement are generally fine in this system.
-
The problem I see is that he is likely to be worth far less than the rumoured £800K by the end of the season. Securing a return on our reported £250K investment now, along with a substantial portion of the remaining £550K, would at least make for a welcome return on what has otherwise been a poor investment and give us a significant wedge to finally sign a proper striker.
-
It was. Even their idiotic commentators thought so and were glad VAR wasn’t being used.
-
All true. The boycott is hitting them where it hurts in the pocket. 362 at their first game v Montrose when it was 1400 at the corresponding game the previous season. My uncle a season ticket holder of over 40 years isn't going back until the charlatan who owns the club is gone. It's a bit of a mess and good to see we're helping out their young players( and tapping up their better ones hopefully)
-
Saints fans slaughtering him over on their forums so at least we're all agreed that he was just plain rotten. On the SOD penalty I thought at the time it was a stonewaller and still do but he did kinda do some theatrics by throwing his hands up in the air a bit when he went down which probably gave the ref the excuse he was looking for. Dont know if it is just me who thinks that? Where's VAR when you need it.
-
I would imagine a big sell on percentage so we probably wouldn't make as much. I'm still backing him, still think there is a player there
-
And the Inverness Caley (oldskool not ICT) fans who were there, as there game had been cancelled, made more noise than us! "We are The Caley 'Well" over and over and over! Think we got scudded 3-0?
-
When Willie Irvine scored to deny Hearts promotion as we celebrated ours almost as much as their failure I could not have cared less whether I was standing or sitting. I do think there was a better atmosphere at games though before all seating became the norm for us big clubs. But I don’t miss going home soaking wet and freezing after a drab December night in Paisley. Or scaling the heights as was at Tannadice and Easter Road. No doubt the grounds are safer and more fan friendly nowadays. Oh, and toilets with no roof ring a bell. An age thing of course but I am absolutely knackered after a Scotland match as you generally have to stand for the whole match if you want to see the game. At least in the areas I have been. That wee plastic seat thing is only for use at half time. That seems to be the rule anyway.

LOL , yeah I realised my schoolboy error and corrected it. -
If the rumoured £800K offer for a player who supposedly cost us £250K was real, then not taking it could prove to be a very foolish decision.
-
That would have been a neat trick - he’s back at The Hawthorns 🤣

The goal

Going to be a tough one but if we can improve on our final third play we are more than capable of winning this but at this minute I’d settle for a point. Having said that, perhaps we will have more room in the final third in this game which we can better exploit.
-
For me Stamma is a 6 yard box player and who'll tuck chances away when he's playing with confidence. I don't think he's strong enough to hold up play and at the moment doesn't look like he's brimming with confidence, all too often taking an extra touch. Equally I don't think our final ball into the box is helping, if we counter attack and get decent balls in he'll get on the end of it. Watching the game yesterday my basic thought was we should take £800k if that was offered.

Back then Tynecastle had no shelter for away fans unless you paid for the main stand , the Gorgie rd terracing was uncovered.
-
Don’t think ref WS favoring Saints, just bad/inconsistent. Said and TJ coukd easily have been booked for persistent fouling. Then looked like pk right at the end but I also thought SOD incident should have been ok for us and certainly not a yellow for SOD.

McInnes already showing signs of playing like a stock sample anti football McInnes team and their natives are getting restless. 1-0 Motherwell

0-0. Sign a goalscorer and that changes.

It’s funny how we all see things differently. I thought the delivery to him was fine and he did get chances, but as usual, he fluffed his lines. He also needs to create his own opportunities, yet he’s often a step behind, which means the killer pass is rarely on for our midfielders. In short, he gets chances but rarely takes them, and he struggles to create anything for himself. Regardless of the delivery, he’s not the answer.

Keep that up and you’ll get banned - there will be folk spitting out their morning coffee reading that

Heard in the pub tonight that Scott Leitch was appointed head of their academy about a month ago, started staff to get it going only for the owner to change his mind and shut it down this week, not sure how much of that is true but the Accies fan was totally pissed off with the club and said he won’t be back.
