Also, great how they can make this decision but have said and done nothing about the rioting and nonsense by the Old Firm eejits after their game at Ibrox recently.
-
If the ref had decided on the day that it was simulation - just like diving in the box - the result would have been a yellow. The 4-match suspension is punishment for making the ref and VAR officials look a bunch of twats, not for the offence itself.
-
The authorities have opened a can of worms for themselves with this decision. It will be interesting to see how many others are treated in the same way. There needs to be consistency for everyone.

I think that's a bit harsh on Sparrow at RB - he's been pretty solid and makes some really good last ditch tackles. 2 mistakes v Hibs and Celtic have just put a little blot on his report card of late (And to add I know it's not just yourself that has said it)
-
You mean get a var team that overturn a good goal and don't punish a push on goalie...doesn't matter how well we play if officials are poor
-
We currently have two right backs and two left backs. SODs is a right back who is a more than adequate emergency centre half and JK who can do a reasonable job covering on the left. Longelo we know is excellent on his day, whereas Wilson may not be up to the task and is getting very little chance to develop at Raith. I'd try to move Wilson on find a better backup option for that position. Sparrow is a midfielder who can cover at right back, but he's not great there, and he's even worse at left back. McGhee is a midfielder that can do a job at centre half and I like him, so I hope he sticks around for a while.

But we all know Elijah is a kiwi international

The reality is we're not going to improve that area because of the 2 we have there plus Jordan McGhee who can also play there. They're also 2 different type of RB's Sparrow is more attacking gets himself into decent areas going forward where as SOD is a bit more defensive and has simplified his game which has made him look better. I think people are getting carried away with how good we've been this season our target each season as stated by the board is 10th. The majority of the time we qualify for Europe is because 1 or 2 out of Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen have a poor season. We've also surely got to be looking at the seasons under Graham Alexander and SK where we've had like 30 contracted players with about 10 of them not making more than 5 appearances. I think 2 per position with academy players making up the squad when we get injuries is the approach we should be taking hence the reason I don't see us signing another RB.
-
But, is that what we want? SOD is a good squad player now, but at his age, has lost a bit of energy. Tom Sparrow is a decent midfielder but is never a full back.
-
I think RB is fine tbh SOD and Sparrow are serviceable Premiership Rbs. LB I would like an alternative that isn't Wilson but he's a HG and a Club trained player for Europe so we'll probably just stick with him and hope he's developed a bit at Raith. We need another Striker to create competition, probably a Maswanhise type that can play across the front 3. I'd like to see us improve the physicality of the team. We're quite a small side and have we scored a header from a corner this season feels like a string we need to add to our bow. Hearts are top of the league from being the best at set-peices. Other than Just at Aberdeen I can't think of another corner we've scored from.

The source is Football Insider which lists Just as an Australian international. 🙈 I’m sure some clubs will be monitoring Elijah but this is an example of the worst lazy journalism to shoehorn old firm into article.

CF berth filled…Mo Salah available next season, welcome to the Camp Nue Mo!

Spot on bobby.

I’d bring in 2 new wingbacks . we need cover or an alternative on the left . for right id be thinking an upgrade on what we have . JK picks up lots of niggling injuries that keep him out and SOD simply doesn’t have the engine to get up the park . Sparrow for me isn’t a wing back and not sold he suits our set up , he was far more effective last season . these 2 positions together with CF are for me the weakest part of the team an area we’d be wise to invest in .

What I’m hoping is that JBA stands up and publicly commits to another year at Fir Park. Can you imagine What an effect that would have on the place? Sadly, I know that’s not going to happen and the best we can hope for is that he actually does end up staying. Even that is probably less than 50/50 chance, so hopefully we have a plan to quickly fill JBA’s position so we can have a manager in place before the window opens.
-
Id rather have Luca Ross at LB than Ewan Wilson. Decent lad, but he doesnt have what it takes for the top level or he would be smashing it out the park at Raith Rovers, and he isnt. Koutroumbis is a better RB than Sparrow and he is definitely a better LB. I get that he is the one out of contract and could be the makeweight to freshen up the squad, but you just need to look at what happened with injuries and suspensions this season to see tge value of versatile players.

I might be in the minority but I wouldn't give JK another contract we have SOD and Sparrow to play RB and both are already contracted as well as McGhee who can play there. For next season in Europe we're going to need a squad of 25 including academy players. The Squad should look like :- GK - Ward, Connolly, Academy GK RB - SOD, Sparrow CB - McGinn, McGhee, 2x New CB LB - Longelo, Wilson CM - Watt, Preistman, Fadinger, Whyte RW - Said, New RW AM - Just, New AM (If Just leaves 2x AMF) LW - RCC, New LW ST- Bjorgolfsson, Hendry, New ST For Europe that gives us 4 Club trained - Wilson, Whyte, Connolly, Academy GK/Can also be Luca Ross 8 HG - Wilson, Whyte, Connolly, Academy GK/Can also be Luca Ross, McGinn, McGhee, SOD, Hendry That would mean the other signings don't have to be Scottish in order to make the Quota numbers. The above layout assumes - (Maswanhise is sold, Welsh goes back to Celtic, Slattery, JK, Gordon, Balmer, Halliday, Robinson, Nicholson all leave at end of their deal.)
-
I see New Zealand second game is on Monday March 30th which is practically Sunday in Scotland so hopefully, barring injuries? Just should be good to go for the Falkirk game.
-
Falkirk have drawn 1 out of the last 16 league matches. They tend to either win or lose.
