  1. Past hour
  2. Stamatelopoulos used that exact approach very well during his best forgotten spell at Fir Park Dave and i suspect Hendry might be doing the same.
  3. Today
  4. I would have thought the medical team would be all over that. Different with illness. But with muscular injuries there will be scans and data to inform the situation.
  5. Im only using the word that the previous poster used. I guess it just means a big guy who will take it in, help get you up the park and/or provide lay offs for others to score the goals. But thats a bit wordy.
  6. Thats your opinion. I respectfully disagree.
  7. What the fuk is a facilitator, some kind of sex toy.
  8. Often when things are not going well in a workplace, employees take more sick time off. Could that be an issue here? Not saying it is; just playing devil's advocate. Maybe if a player is 50/50 just now he'll be less motivated than if we were on a good run.
  9. 100% questions on our forwards do think it would help if we actually created chances for them lot of possession where we get into crossing areas & then go back to the half way line ( seb got his goal against killie with 1 of the few crosses we let him attack ) same when we bring on bjorgolfsson, spends half his time defending his own box we need to start creating with the possession we have to give them half a chance
  10. We only came into the game in the latter stages when they tired after having played in Turkey on Thursday and then the travelling back home and travelling away to Fir Park. We had a full week to prepare. They tired, slowed down and started to lose concentration which made us look better.
  11. Fair dinkum we would be top of SPL with that mob 🤣😂
  12. I've already said it but again, the "who do we replace him with" is just a nowhere question. In all my time on this forum I don't recall a single time any of us have correctly predicted a managerial appointment. Do you honestly think because a bunch of fans on a forum don't know who to get that there just isnt anyone out there? If you honestly think that there is not a manager out there that could do better than the current one that would take a job at a financially stable top flight Scottish club then I really don't know what else to say. Its not our job to know this, its the clubs.
  13. Without changing how we play now would be a decent time to move to a back 3 That would enable longelo and sparrow to push further up think this could help both our defensive and attacking shortcoming
  14. Henrik Jensen assistant at Burnley go & spend some money on Simo theres 2 names for you that’s on the back of my earlier post rather than your’s el grew 😂
  15. Good job we didnt sign 11 aussies, we would have a 5 a side team!! Just waiting on big jake getting injured next
  16. Ideally we need to win our next 2 games although I’d settle for a win and a draw. Anything less than 4 points and I think it will be time to part company with the manager. Having said that, there are a few problems with that: 1. He’d be due compensation. 2. Who to replace him with. 3. A new manager may not be able to turn things round.
  17. Johnny k another injury,muscular,wtf.
  18. Who’s a suitable replacement 😂 when was the last time Motherwell employed a manager that was on anybody’s shortlist? & tbh it’s a much better approach that it’s not the usual suspects, sometimes it will work….sometimes it won’t u could pick any manager in world football & they wouldn’t lose 6 in a row with this team gave plenty reasons why I think he doesn’t work…..blindly defending a manager without giving any reason for optimism was what I questioned you must be pals….or maybe…..
  19. I'm merely reflecting the figures that have been reported online and in the media. I realise the accuracy may end up wide of the mark but we most certainly invested more money than we've done for years , even if it was £300,000 we aint getting value for money so far. However as you say the club accounts will confirm
  20. Far too soon to say "We signed some decent players over the summer" I think the Jurys still out on that one. The only one who consistently convinces is Lowry.
  21. To be fair, you've not really backed up your point, or answered the original question. All you done is turn it on the person who asked the question. All you've said is 'it's up to the decision makers' (which is an absolute cop-out) but have pushed another user to give a suitable answer. Well, one that's suitable to you. I know this is all about opinions, and how we're all free to voice them, but you could have given your opinion on who is a suitable replacement.
  22. Fadinger and RCC possibly back for tomorrow but Lowry and JK out until after the next international break. Lowry has a knee injury apparently.
  23. The manager has to settle on who he wants to play in defence. It's changes every game. That doesn't give them time to understand each other.
  24. I think the way the game is played now, there seems to be a dearth of quality goalscorers at all levels. I dont think its too much of a problem if you get your midfield forward and support your facilitator. Last season we had JT, Just, Slattery and even Manny weighing in with goals. I think its something we have struggled to balance this season. I think Kanga on the left doubling up with Manny looks promising. But 30 minutes is a small sample size. Said started well, but has faded again. Lowry has picked up a few, but is now injured. I think there are goals in the team if Alfred can get it functioning properly. But, aye a proper goalscorer would be nice. Where to find one on our budget is another matter.
  25. We're currently struggling to score goals and I think a major reason for that is our recruitment of strikers, which has been less than impressive even under JBA. Maybe its related to the way we play. Hendry, a permacrock, has never been a goalscorer, more of a facilitator. Thor looks to be the same type of player although he's never had a run of games. Palmer-Houlden again looks to be a facilitator rather than a goalscorer. Now this type of player is fine if you have others able to score from deeper positions but we currently don't. JT was scoring for fun early last season and covered up the cracks, but his goals have dried up. Now, you could justifiably attribute some of our goalscoring problems and form of our strikers down to lack of support from midfield and you'd be right. In fairness, goalscorers are hard to find and don't come cheap, but right now we don't even seem to have a 10 goal a season striker. A big questionmark hovers over our striker recruitment policy.
