Re Saturday, I think Id like to see McGhee at RB rather than SOD or McGinn. Better to change one position than 2. Unless of course Gordon is fit to start then maybe SOD to RB with McGhee making a cameo late on. Hard to know what to do for the best, but keeping McGinn in the centre is a must. If we add Charles-Cook and a holding midfielder I think we've had a decent window. Could probably do with shifting Balmer and replacing him if JBA doesn't fancy him. if we sign Cook I'd be getting Luca Ross out on loan to get game time as well. Probably finish somewhere from 6th-9th.

Top level players tend not to sign for Motherwell so you may be right. I hope Stamatelopoulos comes good and contributes more to the team, but so far for me I've seen nothing to suggest that will happen.

When a young player is out of contract, my understanding is the two clubs can still make a deal e.g. waive the compensation fee due, and take a future cut of transfers instead. The UEFA calculation only comes into play if no agreement is reached. (Although I could be wrong, because I don't really keep up to date with all those rules) Agree about Derby County, though. Seems like a step backwards.
