No worries.

There was nothing to be gained last night by playing the likes of mcginn and gilmour,we all know what they can offer.its a friendly at home to Iceland and the manager doesn't have the balls to move away from a team selection that's hardly won a game in about 2 years.hes a safety first manager that's only legacy will be finding eligible forwards that all turn out to be shite.if we have any ambitions of qualifying for the next tournament then he can't be in charge,he's a dinosaur that doesn't even have a plan a.no wonder the game in this country is a laughing stock and won't ever get above the mediocre with clarke and carver in charge and then you see the likes of Pressley and kettlewell getting jobs.

He knows what wee callum is going through 🤣
- Today
-
Gilmour has had a lot going on in his personal life and he said it affected his game - he had a stalker that was stalking him after he moved to Italy and another footballer was stalked as well.
-
Sorry but cant agree with that. Scotland were shite last night, but Gilmour was one of the few actually trying to effect the game and play forward passes. If McTominay, McGinn and Ferguson had been anywhere near his level we wouldnt have ended up in the shit we found ourselves. You dont get Antonio Conte signing you unless you have something about you and his lack of game time was down to the fact Napoli have Lobotka who is an outstanding player. Thought Lennon did very well when he came on and didnt look out of place at all. The experience would have done him the world of good. Be nice if he got a start on Monday but I dont really see it happening. Re Ferguson, for someone playing at such a high level, Ive yet to see evidence of it in a Scotland shirt. Although, Im not really sure what he is being asked to do by Clarke? The game largely passed him by last night and he rarely showed for the ball. Very strange. Thought Max did well enough in the circumstances. Hopefully he and Lennon will get better chances to shine going forward.
-
Not sure he would get the time to build at Motherwell. He only wins trophies in his second season!
-
I think Gilmour is vastly over rated. Miller came on and made more passes in forward areas. He's been mainly sub at Napoli. Lightweight and doesn't offer much goin forward. Ferguson not much better.
-
Totally agree with that, he needs to go now.
-
Clarke initially did the job that was needing done. He took an omnishambles of a national team and consolidated it into one that was difficult to beat and, most importantly, one that the players wanted to be involved with. And I give him credit for that. He did well to get us to the first Euros, but his tactics were an embarrassment in that tourney. The second Euros were even worse, because not only had he not learned anything, but he actually went backwards. That was when he should have been moved on. Friendlies and injuries aside, the national squad actually has some decent players available now. There were EPL, Champions League, Seria A, Coppa Italia and Austrian Bundesliga winners on the pitch last night that should have been able to play some football. We are crying out for a manager with a bit more creativity and tactical nous, otherwise we are destined to be one of the few teams who fails to quailfy for the new 322 country World Cup finals.
-
What do you want to talk about then? Would you rather Clarke?........or Fleetwod Mac ?🤪🤪🤪 Sorry.....cannae help myself
-
He keeps picking Hanley.....Nuff said
-
I saw him play once, but only in the "Motherwell Old Babes" team - I think at the Joe Wark testimonial.
-
First 'Well game I ever went to, he was the manager. I lied, Bobby Howitt ws the manager first game I went to. ISJ was the manager for the second game I went to 🙂 he was also the manager when I first started going regular.
-
Steve Clarke as the new lead singer of Fleetwood Mac Billy Davies the new Well manager , equally pish of course 😂
-
Our own Ian St John would have been 87 today Legend at both my clubs Motherwell and Liverpool. Wish I could have seen the great man play live Saint and Greavsie also growing up was classic TV

What strikes me about this thread is that the club almost do too good a job of keeping it under wraps and going leftfield for a thread like this. It's got to the point where we all know there's no point speculating or suggesting who it could be because no one has a clue.. So we're left with Fleetwood Mac jokes and discussions about Steve Clarke....
-
Great film.
-
Clark is a stubborn and arrogant clown. Get him to fuck before he further embarrasses us.
-
Sure Steve Clarke did almost get the job in 2010 before McCall got the gig . He mentioned this at one point The media at that time were also predicting Alan Stubbs would get the job
-
I've got a level of sympathy for Clark. The season is finished, for me its a nonsense that friendlies are scheduled in June. His win record over his tenure is as decent as any manager in last xx decades. Although we have a very strong midfield and LWB the rest of the team is lacking. Keeper, centre halves, striker - slim pickings. Last night was unsurprisingly poor and aligned with last 20 games. Im not saying Clark is the forward looking answer , equally I don't see it purely as we need to change the manager. Even back in the 80s when arguably we had some of our best players we had very similar periods.
-
The choices left out some obvious contenders. The mid 90s Motorola classic home and away kits, some of our earlier Puma kits, the Canterbury kit from 09/10, the home kit from the lockdown season and the Bukta home kit from McGhee’s first season of his first spell would all be contenders for best jerseys in my opinion, obviously others will disagree. Same token they left out some of the howlers we’ve had like last seasons and the horrific 22/23 effort.
-
Young Lennon done well when he came on, always looking for the ball and sprayed a few good passes. Hopefully starts on Monday. Also good seeing Max get a start
-
Clarke has humiliated us as a nation in the past 2 euros and I’m not buying the “he got us there” nonsense. It’s never been easier to qualify for this tournament and with the players we have, it should be a shoe in. I doubt it’d happen but Postecoglou would be a great International manager for us, he may be so traumatised by club football just now that he’d fancy it…. Anyway…. Motherwell is more important…. We need a manager 🤦♂️
-
Sorry but Clarke had to go yesterday he has had his time and now we are going backwards again . Get a International appearance clause the contract now Cashback!well done young Lennon Miller.
-
Steve Clarke is undoubtedly a dour faced arrogant individual who is stuck in his ways. But i would take him as our manager in a heartbeat and I think he would be brilliant for us same as he was at Killie. He would be much more suited to managing us than he would Scotland imo. It won’t happen obviously.
