Did you get kicked off for calling it a boat?
-
Absolutely delighted to see the deal done because the more money we bring in, the stringer OUR Club becomes...just as long as we trust the board to do the right things. Which I do

Motherwell vs Havnar Bóltfelag (23/7) Discussion
joewarkfanclub replied to David's topic in Club Chat
1994 was probably one of our best ever sides. We went on to give Dortmund a real scare in the next round. I would hope we can still win the tie. But it might not be pretty tomorrow night. I actually think we are likely to be better in the away leg as we will have an extra weeks fitness under our belt and might have more players to choose from. Id happily take a 1-0 or 2-0 tomorrow with the expectation we wont lose over there. - Today

When we played them back in 1994 we won the home leg 3-0 and the away leg 4-1 to progress on aggregate 7-1. The object of tomorrow’s 1st leg must be to put the tie to bed by scoring at least 3 or 4 goals so that the return leg becomes a formality. If we can’t get past this round then we don’t deserve to be in it.

Class player . Gutted Just is away but we all knew that was going to happen Great money for us as a club 👍
-
Gutted seeing him away and not convinced Swansea a good move but amazing business for the club. However.............AJ needs to be given funds to get players in
-
Should leave us with at least £5m clear plus the add ons. Spectacular piece of business. Hopefully assist with the incomings. Need 3 midfielders and a striker I think. Unless Olly Whyte is definitely going to be one of the midfielders.

I can relate in some way to what you say. It is not a personal embarrassment for us as supporters or individuals because we have no input into the final outcome but I can understand why more generally the result could be seen as an embarrassment. Hearts 4-0 defeat last night is embarrassing for Scottish football generally. Hearts were a dodgy penalty decision away from being champions of Scotland last term. Scotland's display in the WC was embarrassing for us collectively as a nation. Motherwell have lost to part time European teams in the past. I think for the club and for the full time players involved in these games, it is embarrassing. Motherwell were a breath of fresh air last year and I would love to think that JBA and the team showed that there is another way and that they can compete in European football. It would be a real shame if we were to fall at the first hurdle. Having said that, HB are a full time outfit (I think). It will be a very tough game tomorrow.

Good business . As welcome as the money is, he’ll be very tough to replace . Best of luck to him , he’s a class act
-
Reports tonight that Just's fee is £6m + add ons. We'll probably have to pay Horsens a cut.

March goes through precinct then up Windmillhill st normally
-
Ross Tierney scored a late winner for Bohemians in the first leg of their European qualifier.

If its a yacht then you could finance a new stadium. If it's an internal cabin on a cruise ship then enjoy your cocktails. -
While I am on a roll I hope mrs baillies bar is better organised tomorrow. Was ridiculous last week queueing for 20 mins to get a drink. Not going there tomorrow as that totally put me off going there in future
-
Not sure bud, think starting in town centre
-
Any idea where this walk is? Please tell me it’s not up Airbles road. I need to drive a pensioner up to the game and with the road works going in I can be doing without any other delays.

I think there is also a willful oversight that hospitality spends are on the increase and patrons demand a certain experience to justify that expense. What we offer is not amazing in 2026, by 2046 it will be archaic without looking at our target audience and adjusting our offering. Fixing FP is just sticky plaster-ing the problem. If we take the projected £8m and £5m I outlined above as the top end of our spend would it not make more sense to put that into something new, bespoke and itself OK for 30 years before any major upgrade works? It's a strange one that we don't look to secure our club's future in the same we do in our own lives. I suspect very few of us live in the same place we did after moving out of our parents home. Transitioning from renting in some cases or buying and taking on debt beyond our current income but manageable because the debt is designed to allow us to progress. We do it because we aspire to more and get our foot on the ladder. As we transition through life we upgrade often to a family home and/or to something that reflects our income and lifestyle aspirations. I suspect the vast majority on here have taken out a mortgage with no guarantees on continued employment or security, but for Motherwell to do it is a step too far? -
Probably get my nose bitten off as you aren't allowed to criticise them but I hear bois are doing a walk tomorrow to stadium which will be great and well supported.....however....can you leave the flares at home? I know we have plenty cash but we cant keep paying out fines for flare displays. Get that drum and vocal chords in full flow. Thats best way to support us. COYW

Both Longelo and Maswanishe took part in the latest training session on official site. Surely suggests both will take at least some part tomorrow night

The problem is that the refurbishment of Fir Park won't stop there. Once the POD is addressed then there are 3 other stands as well as assorted issues then needing addressed. That will easily run into 7 figures if not more. A veritable money pit.

We are all forgetting something really important that has emerged on the other side of the pond over the last few weeks, we all know refereeing is corrupt to the bigger ugly teams with the budgets and influence but what they are not telling us about todays hearing was that McInnes used the big red phone n called Donald….hence why his game was suspended….we are so silly arent we!
