  1. That's not a bad move for him, the Championship will be a very competitive league next season, Accies, Killie, Partick, Dunfermline and Raith will all being going for promotion. I see Elliot Frear has been released by Hearts, no mention of Roberts on the list, they must be keeping him.
  2. 100% this he is Jamie Murphy Mark 2, he always wanted to cut inside just like Hastie does, as you say stay with him and show him down the line and he is very ineffectual .
  3. Tweet about Marvin Johnson's goal in the playoff game appeared in the official twitter feed, just reminding us of the goal or can we expect an announcement, now he's a free agent
  4. Middleton is a decent prospect, he will probably sign a permanent deal at St Johnstone if he is released, to be fair it will be a great career move, maybe not financially but football wise for all of them to get away from the blue uglies, they should all get a team at a decent level.
  5. Brilliant we really are a community club stuff like this should be more widely publicised,
  6. I would have Johnson back he's been a reasonably regular starter at Middlesbrough, still a decent player, probably can't afford him now though.
  7. QoS are a decent side but it's a very good draw for us, can't see us having much trouble with any of the teams, plus it's been a while since we played and pumped Airdrie, so here's hoping
  8. GA and the coaching team must rate him, a young player with lots of potential to develop, could potentially be a very good signing, nice to see we are getting our business started early.
  9. I'm getting worried about this forum new player just in the door and it's all positive, nobody slaughtering him yet,
  10. Quality not quantity is always a good approach, we failed badly on that last summer and in January this year, commiting funds to dross who contributed nothing, so we need to get it right this summer, I hope GA's contacts book is full he will need it.
  11. The players are being released for a reason, it may be financial but I'm going for they are basically shit and have contributed nothing all season resulting in relegation. So why should we be thinking of signing any of them, we have just got rid of our own dross, no need to replace them with killies dross. So for me we should be looking elsewhere the money would be better spent.
  12. Of the two I thought Thompson was the better keeper, but your right as far as Ruddy, and Randolph are concerned, not sure about Carson as for me he would be on a par with Thompson.
  13. I rate him as 1 options 2-5 are all irrelevant at this time, well for most on the forum anyway. We can repeat this topic next summer when we can judge him for a full season with his choice of players etc.
  14. Which one Dijkstra , Thompson or both of them?
  15. If its another loan deal Rangers will still be paying the majority of his wages, so it does not matter what we pay him, he still gets the full amount as per his contract, allegedly in the region of 4k a week if the stories are true.
  16. They finished 11th and were relegated so by definition their squad was the 2nd worst in the league, simples
  17. They are feckin brutal It's worth watching just to see that fud kris boyd's face he is not a happy bunny.
  18. I would say budget for finishing 10th, and anything above that is a bonus, we have learned the hard way with the John Boyle years the dangers of reckless spending. A top 6 finish and a European place and / or a decent cup run are the targets for 10 of the 12 premiership clubs every year, and to be honest given the standard outwith the ugly sisters you don't need to spend big to achieve those targets. We are a well run, and seemingly financially stable club at the moment so I hope it stays that way.
  19. Not much luck don't talk shite, league cup both the uglies out, none of which they had to beat themselves, Scottish cup they beat Rangers with an injury time goal from their goalkeeper ffs who was allowed a free header, in a game Rangers should have been out of site in. Yes they got lucky bigtime in both competitions winning one trophy without the uglies involved is usually the only way the other clubs s get a sniff, but being only the 4th club in Scottish football history to pick up a cup double tells you how lucky they were. But they still had to beat whoever they were playing so fair play to them for taking full advantage.
  20. Plus a large slice of luck we never seem to get in not having to face either of the ugly sisters in both finals, that very rarely if ever happens in Scottish football, but fair play to them for taking full advantage. Outwith the uglies there is not much between the other 10 clubs in the premiership so any luck you get in the cup competitions is a big bonus.
  21. You can't argue with his stats since he signed for Killie and I said at the time he was the type of player we needed, but from what I have seen of him since then I think his attitude in some games is questionable, at Dens Park on Thursday night he was anonymous for 90 mins and hardly touched the ball. We need players who will give 100% commitment every game so I think Lafferty may be a luxury we can't afford not just in financial term but in building a settled committed team for next season.
  22. Correct, lucky teams win cups, the 93/94 team was the closest we have been to winning the league since 1932, finishing 3rd , I think 4 points behind Rangers in a 44 game season and we were still in it up to the last 3 or 4 games.
  23. I see Lawless is below Seedorf a fair assumption of his suitability for the premiership if you ask me
  24. Are you sure about Boyd, not sure he played for us, he's spent the last 30 years erasing Motherwell from his memory
  25. Most of us are bored with the game if you have info to share on a public forum then share it, if its not for public consumption then don't post anything about it, and we can all get back to making up rumours, it's more fun.
