  1. It was 6-1 we were beaten in case you forgot, and the 1-0 defeat by Llanelli as well, as I said he was a clueless fud
  2. Been reading this thread with interest and there are varying opinions regarding Gannon, but for me he was a clueless fud and well out of his depth re coaching and man management, so we were well rid of him in the end.
  3. I think we will be ok for strikers, Cole , long and a decent run in the team for Johnson , maybe Hilton , so going with 2 up top is an option but only if we have wide players either side with a bit of pace. Would be delighted if we could get Ariybi back and somebody on the opposite side to partner him, so for me 2 wide players with a bit of pace and attacking threat are a must ( ok not asking for much but I live in hope )
  4. Stevie May, that would be a no thanks from me,
  5. I am still not convinced that Albanian mob were actually footballers, they were brutal
  6. So basically what you are saying is he was pish, just like we all thought.
  7. Zak Jules is also playing with Macclesfield they seem to attract dross.
  8. A few years ago that's what it cost Craig Whyte to buy Rangers, just the one monthly payment so i think you are being done
  9. BBC gossip reporting today that Sunderland may be interested in Cadden.
  10. Far too complicated to work that one out but yes it wasn't meant to be serious.
  11. I see we are still maintaining the tradition of declaring a player as shit before he has kicked a ball for us,
  12. Lee McCulloch has been appointed assistant head coach at Dundee United.
  13. We never had the money, only the prospect of it for 5 mins so I don't think the board will have a new direction and operating model for the club sorted out. So we are still on the same course as last year, ie developing our own talent and bringing in others from elsewhere at little or no cost and then move them on at a profit, it has served us well in recent years. So basically what we never had we won't miss.
  14. Agree with this Dave a lot of questions to be answered, but the main one for me was answered ie we did not bend over and let Celtic shaft us for a no doubt derisory offer in their revised terms, well done to Alan Burrows and the board.
  15. DT, no doubt will be gutted but I am confident that when he is back up and playing we will see him at his best again. He never missed a game when he broke into the team with this alleged injury and scored 15 goals so it can't be bothering him that much, so he will get his big move. And Celtic will see another great Scottish talent move out of their price range, for ever,
  16. I don't agree,it's a big blow to the club a minor setback short-term yes, whatever surgery is required will be done, with hopefully a not too long recovery period, January window might be too soon. But on the positive side if he continues to develop and helps us to a good season the I have a feeling another contract offer will come his way, to protect the club's interests. Just in time for us to have this debate again next summer.
  17. Is it just me that thinks Turnbull will be going nowhere this transfer window, a dodgy knee that may or may not need surgery, and all the treatment table time that goes with it. So are we really surprised Celtic are having second thoughts and probably looking to change the terms of the deal, every team would do the same, that might even be the reason the Norwich deal went pear shaped.
  18. If the club gets a fee they are happy with, then fair play to them , whether they make it public or not is up to them, personally I don't care either way and I suspect most fans are the same.
  19. FFS if you are that worried about the amount and the "undisclosed fee" keeps you up at night, wait till the club accounts for the year are available, all the gory details will in there,
  20. Just heard SR will be on stv news at 6 to give an update on Turnbull's "proposed" move to Celtic was the phrase used
  21. For me it was Louis Moult, was not impressed when we signed him from the lower reaches of English football, though he would not make the step up etc. So got that very wrong
  22. Does it matter how the goals go in, Ally McCoist made a career of poaching goals and scoring from a yard out. If Shankland was able to bang in 15 or 20 goals a season nobody would care how they went in. That said it's a big step up in class from championship to the premiership so not sure if he would be up to it, but may be worth a punt.
