As I've been saying for some time it's not budget, it's lack of ability and a defeatist attitude. We've got two players who are comfortable with the ball being played to them and one is a 19 year old rookie. Our manager is happy to do enough to stay up and nothing more. Maybe we can now drop this pish about Robinson not giving the Old Firm respect. Never beat either of them in a league match when both teams have been historically mediocre. Imagine that lot had been up against Larsson or Gascoigne.3 points

Tell us more about how Carl McHugh thinks he's a goalkeeper. It's fantastic material, it really is.2 points

Burrows won’t get rid of Robbo and will hang onto him until the bitter end - getting rid would show his failings by appointing him via the back door in the first place and then giving him a blank cheque to squander the small amount of money the club and ultimately the well society had on utter dross over the summer . The squad is unbalanced and poor without a goal scorer or wide players . Other than dunne our defence can’t run . Special mentions to Hartley and Aldred - love to talk a good game , talk themselves up as hard men and they go on the pitch and are slower than John Sutton and both are soft as shite. I still don’t think we will finish bottom and I accept we have no Devine right to be in the top 6 but I do expect as a supporter and a paying customer to watch professionals on the pitch and get entertained from time to time . That has happened this season and won’t under Robbo . He’s a dinosaur when it comes to set up and tactics with his long ball punt and the players he has bought have simply been bought to follow that ethos . Our support is small but loyal but it will dwindle if we need to put up with this guy for much longer .2 points

Its not nonsense its the same reaction at every level of Scottish football, we get the same utter humdrum shite every time Scotland lose to pub teams. Defeatism and acceptance of defeat no matter how awful is utterly ingrained in Scottish Football fans and player alike. How many times do you hear "oh well we weren't really expected to win" "the resources team XXX have compared to ours ..." blah blah blah.. its as quick as we can put it behind us and forget about that Scottish Football are world leaders at. Can you in your life ever imagine Scotland ever eclipsing the might of Iceland in achievement on the world stage. If I lived to be 300 it would never happen. Being good losers is ingrained into our football and mindset of our fans.2 points

Dock the wages of every single player and coach today. Fine McHugh & Robbo their wages for the next month for their red cards. That today was fucking disgusting. Unprofessional, pathetic and a complete embarrassment to the club. Robbo should never manage another game at our MFC.2 points

Interesting story in the Sunday Post on Bigi and his mindset last year and changes this year, https://www.sundaypost.com/fp/bigirimana-is-now-out-to-reap-what-he-sows/ GAEL Bigirimana reckons his decision to stop viewing Motherwell as a stepping stone back to the big time could ironically be the very thing that gets him there. The midfielder will travel to Ibrox this afternoon on the back of some impressive performances. And he says that is down to a change in mindset about the Scottish game, and his place in it. “For me, last season was quite tough,” he said. “When I first came here, I wanted to get back to the English Premier League, and the Scottish league had seemed like a great platform. “I had been at big clubs, like Newcastle United and Rangers – which I enjoyed even though I didn’t play – and wanted to get back up to the top. “But that was completely the wrong attitude. “For some people, it’s OK. But for me, it’s not right. I wouldn’t want people to treat me like that. “So I had to examine myself and that was not easy. “I wasn’t enjoying it because my mindset wasn’t right and at one point I even wanted to quit.” But with the help of his wife, Bigirimana had a rethink and now he believes his wife’s outlook is the right one. “I don’t view Motherwell as a stepping stone any longer,” he said. “I play football to help my team-mates, to help the young boys, whoever I can help. “For me, it doesn’t matter if fans have an opinion, team-mates have an opinion or if the staff might have an opinion about why I am here. I know the truth. “We all hear people saying no player is bigger than the club and that is true. “As long as people care about the club, it will flourish. “I might not be here next year, or in two years, or I could be here for the rest of my career. But after I hang up my boots, the club will still be Motherwell. “No matter where you are, if you play with the right motives, you reap what you sow. “So, in my case, that could mean a move in the future. “But, as I say, I am playing my football for the present, not for the future.”2 points

Well, yes and no. Certainly no problem with clubs marking the anniversary with a suitable and respectful display. Also no problem with respect and appreciation being shown for our armed forces, though would perhaps something around armed forces day would be more appropriate if they are going to be doing the jumping off the stand on ropes sort of stuff. My issue with what will go on this Sunday at Ibrox is that, sadly, it will have precious little to do with remembrance and respect. It will be a crass and overblown display attempting to get a reaction.2 points

Take on board all the points about McHugh being rash - and not for the first time in his time here. But watching the game on the TV today I think he was hard done by. Morelos was throwing himself from the off to get a booking and the second yellow shouldnt even have been one. We were rocked after that for a good while and the marking at the 3rd goal proved that. Regardless, we should have been capable of containing it and not losing by 6 goals 6 'Well players sent off in 15 months for Thomson. That's pretty good going.1 point

Important wins against St Mirren and Dundee and the match thread page count increases by 1-2 over the next 48 hrs. Lose today and it jumps 5 pages in a couple of hours. There are some people who love slaughtering this team. The last ten days must have been touch but at least you get to have your fun this evening.1 point

Honestly for me it’s just one very bad defeat that’s not happened before under Robinson’s reign. Plain fact is whatever way you look at it their budget does dwarf ours and it always will and they, along with Celtic will carry on winning the vast majority of games again us as they always historically have. When was the last league win against Rangers in the league apart from the play off game ? It’s really no difference to down in England where Man City have the budget to blow the smaller clubs out of the water every game, that’s not linked to the attitude of the fans of those clubs, it’s just pure financial power the same way it is at the top of the Spanish league. I think it’s important not to have knee jerk reactions in situations like this while understanding emotions are running high straight after the game. I’m not defending the performance which was obviously shocking ( I was not there so going on feedback from those that were). But as always Robinson will live or die by results although I don’t believe losing to the likes or Rangers or Celtic regardless of by how many goals will be that deciding factor. There was a degree of optimism on here before the game, personally I don’t believe it was justified given this seasons performances but yes the size of the defeat was still a bit of a shock.1 point

Ok we were well and truly pumped, shocking, embarrassing, unprofessional etc etc so what shit happens once in a while. After that the only way is up so forget about it and move on, there are still 26 games to go1 point

Agreed. Total lack of professionalism from the Manager to the players. Unacceptable at any level never mind SPL.1 point

I said after we got drubbed in the cup that Robbo needed 10 points from the next 6 games. We got 7 and have ended in an utter embarrassment! Do the right thing and fuck off. Take that useless prick McHugh with you1 point

We chucked the towel in when it went too 3-1,the players should be ashamed of themselves, absolutely no professional pride on show whatsoever.1 point

Even with 10 men no professional side should collapse as badly as this, this is as poor as we have ever been and no manager or player can defend it. Woeful.1 point

Never said that but Robinson himself knows what Thompson is like first chance he had to send him to the stand he took it1 point

Should never play for the club again. As soon as he was booked you knew he was getting sent off. Seriously get him to fuck.1 point

Started quite well I thought and good equalised from Bowmand and Main link up. Penalty can't really be argued but I'm also not sure he meant it. Hard to slide and block with your arms at your side. I'm more annoyed about his first yellow. Morelos is a diving wee fanny.1 point

Thompson is a cunt who is always looking for a reason to send off a Well player1 point
