It would need to take one hell of a deflection as the end of his trademark headless chicken runs normally ends up with him facing the east stand or the main stand before losing the ball cheaply and being way out of position leaving us wide open on his side of the pitch.1 point

I think 3rd is a realistic target. Not much to choose between all the teams. No real standouts that are a class above the rest, so why not be aiming for third spot.?1 point

Tom Boyd is easily one of the 5 best players to wear a Motherwell shirt in the 40 odd years I've been going to games. The Hall of Fame is about recognising great players that wore the shirt, not about scrutinising what club he supports or going over every line of interview he's ever done with a highlighter pen and a chip on your shoulder. If only we'd had a few more Tom Boyd's since then.1 point

This. United will still be spending well over a million a year on player wages. Spending 10% of the wages on a guy who scores that many goals make sense. I think a lot of people seem to think we are only paying around a grand a week despite the fact that total player wages must be closer to 2m than 1.5m.1 point
