  1. who couldnt be excited about qualifying for europe? Nancy for the people who were there has to be one of if not THE best experience ever as a well fan. It was fantastic. It was only when mcall started using europe as pre season friendlies that it lost some sparkle and i dont think robinson will treat it like that. If we can remember that if we had beat stjarnan we would have got lech poznan and then stjarnan beat them and got inter milan. I can remember being so annoyed at that time that the possibility of going to san siro was taken away. I know its extremely difficult to reach group stages but if we could do it not only would the finance set us up for many a year but the fan experience would be amazing. If anyone is content to just stay in the league then imo football is not for you. Sorry if thats harsh but dreaming of glory and experiences is what makes it the greatest sport in the world.

  3. Mind last year when we were in the bottom six and out both cups and everyone was slating Burrows on a daily basis. Now we are 3rd, Europe beckoning, decent chance of getting to the SC semis and guaranteed top six. And not a peep. Fuck sake Burrows.

  5. He provided the cross for our goal but, looking at the line up, he's probably not a winger. Can someone Google available midfielders from the north east of England with England B caps who previously played for motherwell? Edit - I did the googling and it is either bevis Mugabi or Kenny dalglish.

  7. Llanelli we lost 1-0 and ultimately won the tie where we eventually played Steaua Bucharest so it wasn't all bad. Odense game we really should have got to the group stages, if i recall did we not miss a penalty and an absolute sitter before losing 2-0 at fir park. Jamie Murphy and Nick Blackman if I remember correctly, not sure who missed what. mental if you don't want a spot in Europe.

  8. Unforgettable, so thanks. Fat Pat and Big Roddy dragged all over the place after Joe Wark's ball over the top until WP slotted it home into the bottom corner. Happy days!

  9. Well done to the Club's directors and management. Society members are also helping to finance the club through monthly contributions, all of which now remain in the club. Who says fan ownership doesn't work. Debt free......you bet.

  11. For the 2018/19 Europa League the solidarity payments for the qualifying phase were: Should make money from that even with a prelim round defeat.

  12. Good work from all concerned. We can now invest every penny we earn into improving the squad and our facilities. Happy days.

  13. If it wasn't for his pace Dunne would be nowhere near the first team IMO, distribution shocking but Hartley's distribution shocking also. If Dunne comes back then it is in place of Hartley, not Left-Back though I have to say I have not been impressed with Carroll recently, runs to halfway line then always a sideway pass plus his defending not been great as has Grimshaw's. If Robbo changed to a back 3 then I would have Dunne, Gallagher and Hartley though feel sorry forbig Declan trying to keep the pair of them in check. COYW

  14. We wont need the backup option we will take the automatic spot for either 3rd place or cup winners, but as you say 4th place is likely to qualify as well,.

  17. If we're going with a back three, then Dunne plays the left side. Back four, then it's tough on Hartley, but I can see Dunne taking his spot - at least until big Declan gets moved on for a few quid.

  22. Robbo reportedly made a comment which I found rather odd after the game. We all know that the strong wind was going to affect the game and that it was forecast well in advance, correctly as it turned out, to strengthen after 1600 i.e. half time. When St Mirren kicked off facing our end I assumed wrongly that we had won the toss but had deferred to Saints' tradition (?) to kick towards the north end in the second half. However Robbo explained that he and Keith reckoned that we would play with the wind at our backs in the first half in case the wind died down in the second half. Whatever they are they aren't weather forecasters!
