Gillespie is not the reason we are on a bad run. Distribution not great but I am more concerned about goalies making saves. Carson will be back in starting line up next season anyway and hopefully back to the way he was2 points

So so much wrong I’m not sure where to start.....With the defence, Gallagher literally playing right back, why not Donnelly out there Gallagher in the middle of the 3 and Hartley (given he’s left footed) on the left. Then when Donnelly goes into midfield Tait moves to centre half but on the left not the right where he played so well against Saints in the 2nd half last week........ Midfield, Campbell and Polworth both terrible, if O’Hara is out as well as Donnelly in the next 2 games we’re in even more trouble. Going forward, why not even try swapping Aarons and Hylton at any point so that they’d be on the foot they kick with when they get to the bye line? F@cking even more raging with that tonight that I was last week. 180mins against Accies & St Mirren without a goal from open play. Just as well we have enough points to stay up.2 points

For a guy who came to us with a reputation of being moody and unreliable I feel he deserves great credit for his last 2 performances. Against St Mirren he gave his all for 120 mns and yesterday ran his socks off despite his lone striker role following Long's shall I say ' indiscretion' . Have also been impressed by his deftness of touch , imagination and creativity. Not bad either when heading. Early days I know but I see in his play a likeness to Ciftci and ( whisper it) Cobra Coyne . If he can sustain his early promise together with improved fitness I feel Watt could be a major influence in our drive for Europe.1 point

Not disagreeing with you buddy but just saying our bad run of form isn't because of him. Hartley.. grimshaw..Polworth...hylton and even Campbell off form. When you have so many players not performing it is going to have adverse effect1 point

Just had a look. In our last 39 league matches were we started with 3 centre halves we've only won 9 of them. That's a 23% win ratio. What ever the answer is to our current problems we need to ditch 3 at the back pronto.1 point

Taking a deep breath here, at the start of the season and someone offered us to be in 3rd with 10 games to go I would have took it. I think the manager has a lot to answer for. People out of position, player in the wrong positions, players on the park that shouldn’t be anywhere near our team. Struggling big time1 point

10 points ahead of Killie in 7th and 15 points left to play for before the split. We have to think there will noT be enough of a swing for us to drop into 7th, so it’s just a case of trying to hang in there and then maybe once in the split we can still be in the hunt. As another poster said all the other teams are inconsistent and will take points of each other. The hope is that Turnbull coming back might inject some life into the team. I’m worried about Robinson though as he has the feel of an manager running out of ideas and there is a hint of desperation about what he is doing at the moment.1 point

Time to drop gillespie too. He’s not sticking around and his distribution is way too slow and all over the place. time to give Carson a run as he the one who has signed the contract.1 point

When did this happen?. I never once seen him beat his man..!!1 point

If tonight proved anything ……… Hartleys finished at this level Why oh why is he playing in the middle of a back 3 ????? Slow as treacle and was bullied by the big number 9 Also get this playing with 2 wingers to feck having 1 sand dancer on the park is bad enough without having 2n Just beat your man ( never mind the 5 step overs ) and get the ball in1 point

Time for a few home truths? We are only third by default in a truly awful league. We have some half decent players, but are not a cohesive unit. We flatter to deceive with some pretty play but have no real punch and don't offer much of a goal threat. We cannot put a decent ninety minute performance together. We have a business plan based on selling on our best players, but currently look like we have little left that anyone would want to buy. Our lack of depth has led to us "overolaying" promising youngsters and probably stymied their development ( Cadden and now Campbell). on the plus side, on current form we would have been an embarrassment in Europe anyway and nice to see Turnbull back, even if rushing him into the match day squad has a look of desperation about it. Rant over.1 point

The really worrying thing is 1 goal in open play in the last 6 league matches. Never looked like scoring tonight if it hadn't been for the penalty.1 point
-
It says a lot for our strength in depth when we have to bring on McIver and Seedorf both too lightweight for the SPL. Never looked like scoring from open play. My guess is we will finish bottom of the top 6. Very disappointing second half.Looked like we switched off in the second half and St Mirren were the stronger and more energetic team. We really miss a proper striker.1 point

If anyone says 'we go again' in the post match video I swear I will scream1 point

Just asking given that line has been posted a couple of times now. If you would like him sacked just come out and say it, personally I think any talk of sacking him is plain crazy.1 point
-
I wouldnt say sack him...... yet. But he needs to buck his ideas up To be honest Robinson AND Burrows need a fucking rocket under them. Both have transpired to ruin a promising season in the short sighted search of a cheap pound1 point

As a Motherwell fan I couldn't see myself spending a match day on a St Mirren forum being all pally pally.1 point

He sits up in the stand along with O’Carrol and communicates with the dug out assuming regarding our and oppositions shape also seen them taking photos at corners free kicks on phone assume these are sent down to dug out1 point

i totally agree here lol. theres no way polworth should be out wide.1 point
-
i will also totally disagree with you mate. he runs his socks of every game and whilst robinson quoted campbell as running 40k in 3 games id imagine polworth would be next in most kms completed. he also isnt afraid to try a hard pass forward which some of our crowd moan about when it gets cut out but he keeps going and keeps attempting them. he is our best and most influential player other than gallagher and maybe donnelly imo. im hoping when turnbull is back we play a 3421 i dont know if it will work but we need to try it as both polworth and turnbull need to be in the team. team id pick. gillespie gallagher.donnelly.dunne grimshaw/tait.ohara.campbell.aarons polworth.turnbull. watt.1 point

Watched the highlights of the Hibs v Livi game and Lyndon Dykes had the most embarrassing dive to try to win a penalty. So much worse than Manzinga's against St Johnstone but no booking. Totally inconsistent. Also as others have pointed out Accies players wasted time and stole yards at free kicks and throw ins with no sanctions. The ref on Saturday was the worst one for inconsistency I have seen this season.1 point

Those hounding him out the door are wild, the second is probably a booking but I don't think there much in it, He tries to win back possession and is a bit late, it's not as though he has absolutely flew in to the challenge at any great pace or anything. Maybe a silly tackle to make in the grand scheme of things but you seem them go unpunished multiple times in a game. The boy Hunt's tackle on Aarons has went relatively unmentioned, that is a wild challenge, a sending off every day of the week, late, reckless, our of control, at speed, doesn't win the ball, anything else?1 point
