  1. I thought Kashket was what they used to bury Sir Sean.

  2. Its going to be a bit hit n miss like that until we have a settled team and they get used to playing together. I think we will do well once that happens . We are going for points on the board once we are in front and im happy with that for time being.

  3. Starting to feel like it doesn't really matter who we bring in as the strikers we have already get limited, almost zero service. Hammering long high balls constantly I'm sure is not the sort of service any striker wants. Not saying the long ball isn't a tactic to be used sometimes, but we never seem to play it to their feet. or knock it on the ground past them for them to run onto. I do think that the formation is causing a lot of our issues and also having a weak midfield. Will be interesting to see who comes in tomorrow.

  4. Wollery hasn't convinced me yet, although it's early days. Once everybody is fit, I'd like to see Shields and Van Veen get a run (not necessarily together, but worth a look) with Watt sitting in behind. If we do play more narrow up top, however, we to get the width from or full/wing backs.

  5. And it's a hat trick, enough now.

  6. I think it’s fair comment to expect a better level of play than what we have seen for the most part. I’m sure GA would probably agree with that and hopefully has a plan to get us there. Most people seemed to really enjoy the Hibs game even though we got beat. Obviously we can’t be dropping points every week but why can’t we play like that more often and pick up points?

  9. If all folk have to moan about is the CEO's personal twitter account then it suggests to me that AB is doing a good job.

  11. Reminded me of Dundee under McCann a few seasons ago. Exactly that description there.

  12. Great to get the 3 points but that style of fitba won't get the fans returning game after game, as it was absolutely horrific viewing. On paper, I think we have a reasonably good squad, certainly good enough to compete with shite like Dundee, but I think the formation we continue to play is hindering us. Watt is worth his weight in gold for us, he will never be a 20goals a season man, or even 15, but his work rate and his game intelligence is excellent...I'd have loved to have seen him getting more time with Van Veen, as I fear that Justin and Woolery will never do. Lamie and Ojala are doing the basics right and in Kelly we have a great keeper at our level. The midfield is still disjointed, I thought slattery showed glimpses of his talent and hopefully Goss can add to that as I believe that Grimshaw is never a starter for us in any position.

  13. It seems that the consensus was that we needed 4 points out of 6. We got 6. We move on.

  14. I still don't see the problem. It's akin to bumping into the CEO in the street, or sending the club an email and getting a good transparent response. The fans who ask questions get an answer. If we want a club that belongs to the fans, then communication and access like this is a good thing. It seems like youd prefer a wall of silence when the CEO is asked questions, or him to give a stock business response "announcements will be made through official channels". That would be a step backwards - I hope fans continue to have the engagement we've got just now.

  15. For the avoidance of doubt, Maguire is a midfielder by trade & brought to the club on that basis - different coaching outlook was to convert him.

  17. I have to agree, Burrows conflates personal and professional to a degree far beyond that which is acceptable. There’s information posted on podcasts, online interviews etc. that isn’t shared with the wider community and this information flow is limited to those actively seeking - which is totally wrong for a fan owned club whereby any and messaging should be available to all. I posted elsewhere last week about his personal account communication which I found below that standard which should be expected and once again, it has happened. Signing news, views on the club or strategy are not burrows to share, they are the clubs. A CEO position demands that those two things remain fastidiously aligned.

  18. I think it's actually refreshing that flow engages with fans on twitter, anytime I've ever seen his tweets its only ever used in a positive way.ive seen a number of fans of opposition clubs wish there CEO would interact with them the way flow does with us.
