Beside the obvious in terms of goals,our style of play relies on a watt type,his work rate,hold up play and ability to come short and get us up the park is being sadly missed.our forward line is far to disjointed,I really worry where the goals will come from.

It is just nature of the beast with us, we can go on a great run when we beat dons, hearts and utd before Christmas.....then we go on a honking run and everything is bad again. My problem with solhelm is his name as I can never remember it, was calling him sondheim for a while (confused with west side story songwriter), he has been good but just went off boil a bit not helped with ojala missing. I don't have any issues with him and the megaphone but I do wish players would acknowledge all 3 of the stands and not just one corner. Just a normal fan with access to GPS stats joining to talk about Riki Lamie..... Lamie cost us goals against Livingston and Dundee and then almost let Dundee back in it at Fir Park getting turned twice. He's had a few decent games since then but also a nightmare up at Dens again.

Never pay much attention to pre and post match interviews. Are they really going to speak the truth? If they do they often get lambasted for that but if they spout the usual spiel they also get pelters. Fairly pointless exercise to my mind.

I dont agree we were the better team but there wasn't an awful lot between the teams except for our usual habit of gifting the opposition piss easy goals. Hearts were bang average and there for the taking.

The last 3 games are partly down to Alexander in my view, but he’s done very well overall and I would expect him to learn and bounce back.

Not the best start to the second half of the league but I think if you look at the individual results there is nothing catastrophic there. Hearts are by some distance 3rd best in the league and Ross County are in form right now. The worrying thing is we've not scored in 90 minutes in 3 out of 4 matches since the season restart and it's glaringly obvious that we need a striker in. I've generally been a supporter of Alexander but I feel like this might be a moment where he needs to make the right decision about bringing a player in or else risk the good work he's done so far.

The club has had 40 days to find a replacement for Tony Watt. If we don't bring in a number 9 who is more reliable than KVV or a player to go straight into the team who can link midfield to attack and create we are in for a painful end to the season.

We are just missing anyone in the final third who can control the ball and play a pass.

Hate to admit it but we are missing Tony Watt , Dundee Utd have achieved their goal of messing up rythm of our team. No bite in front of goal now.

McGinley costs us points even when he’s not playing.

He's got 8 goals and the rest of the team has 2. That's probably got something to do with it. Those were two bad misses but we don't have anyone else who even gets an opportunity to miss.

Let's be honest proven goal Scorers at a decent level are not going to be available in a mid season transfer window, especially on the money Motherwell has to spend. Our markets are the lower / non league teams to try to find a player with potential and hope they step up and score a few, like Moult, Higdon, McDonald, and latterly Watt who all seemed to find Fir Park a great place to be. But for every success there are more failures who don't make it but that's how we operate, so give each player their chance then judge them on how good or Bad they were.

4 goals in 45 appearances for Efford in Belgium. He'll fit right in with Woolery, Shields and Roberts.

I know people prefer different styles of play and have different opinions on individuals, but I still find it hard to believe anyone can watch a game and think that Maguire "lacks in so many areas and brings almost nothing". He's not perfect, but watching young players like him develop is one of the reasons I enjoy being a 'Well fan. He's definitely improved since GA took over and I was very happy to see him extend his contract.

Maguire is a good example of a player that has come through our system and is still developing as a player. When people ask about youngsters getting their chance, he is a good example. He's also a good example of the lack of patience some fans have with developing younger players, as they are pretty unforgiving about any mistakes. My preferred midfiled this season has been Slattery, Maguire and Goss as I think that provides the best balance of dig and passing. Tierney and Shaw, of course, might change that for the remainder.

Thank you. Another dismal and toothless performance. It’s going to be a long, long second half of the season and to be honest it’s difficult to see where our next win comes from. The only hope is that Aberdeen do their usual no show against us in the league because that is the only up and coming fixture I can see us winning.
