Or we beat Celtic. Dropping points against Dundee United suggests they are not infallible.2 points

Craig Reid day today according to the club on Twitter. What's more shocking, that squad finishing 2nd or if this one takes 4th?2 points

Seems Alan Campbell has been more of a hit with the Luton players and fans than we thought https://www.lutontoday.co.uk/sport/football/luton-town/town-duo-campbell-and-naismith-win-big-at-lutons-end-of-season-awards-night-36856682 points

I see our ex keeper Ross Stewart was on the wrong end of a result at Fir Park this evening.1 point

That 7 minutes injury time! Absolutely fantastic achievement for any Motherwell team to get Top 6 and qualify for Europe but for one with basically a goalkeeper and 1 decent outfield player it's a very impressive result for our manager who did a lot of things the fans didn't like but was proved right to do so in the end. Hopefully we bring in a bit more quality and learn to complete passes over the summer but honestly I think you have to give this team a bit of praise. There isn't a lot of talent there but I think this team has plugged away and tried harder than more talented squads of the past. We didn't win a lot of matches, especially in the second half of the season but we've outperformed much bigger clubs over the season and even during the bad run we were always in the games, didn't go on losing streaks and showed some real guts at time. Great way to end the season (really, who cares about the Celtic game now?) and nice to give Keith a rousing farewell.1 point

I think it's fair to say the Donnelly/Ojala combo is not our most effective.1 point

Couple of good posts from El Grew and Stuwell2, which encompass a lot of my own thoughts. Not even the most positive of posters on here can truthfully say they have enjoyed this season, but now its coming to the end maybe we can get a bit of perspective on it. We finished top 6. We might still get Europe. The manager isnt getting fired. We will see big changes on and off the field in the summer. I think undoubtedly lessons will have been learned and honest discussions between the board and the manager had. Lets get out in numbers tonight and cheer the team over the line.1 point

clearly a sign that we'll play on the deck in future sessions rather than goofball1 point

It’s taking a sensible long term view, Hybrid pitches are so much more stable and easier to maintain. It’s like constantly paying for repairs to an old car, eventually it has to go off to the scrapyard.1 point

I thought I was clued up on all things Motherwell, but there's a pitch under the pitch? when from? I always thought the slope was impossible to fix due to the stands or something too. Might join Twitter again for the progress pics.1 point

A win for us tomorrow night and I think we have a really good chance for 4th. You would expect both the Old Firm to win tomorrow so that would (if we win) leave us on 46: Motherwell - 46 Dundee Utd - 44 Ross County 41 Then depending on goal difference its a straight fight between Dundee Utd and Ross County up in the highlands. Good chance RC could win that or its ends a draw. We will get humped by Celtic and still finish 4th. Just got to beat the Jam Tarts, which will not be easy, but I think we can do it and if Van Veen is fit we have to believe we can.1 point

As far as the pandemic is concerned, it's had a catastrophic effect on youth development, not just for us but also for almost all Scots clubs. It's bound to have stunted young lads' development and slashed opportunities to progress to first teams. This may have a long term effect. Hopefully we'll get back to normal next season with the resumption of regular youth competitions. It's against this backdrop we should assess GA's approach to blooding youngsters.1 point

Maybe but I still think most managers are far too cautious about giving players a chance. For me you'll never know unless you give players first team football. There have been lots of youth hotshots that do nothing in the men's game but I think it works the other way too. There are players at youth level that only reach their potential when they start playing 'real' football. And I've said this many times, not every youth graduate needs to be 'Turnbull' level. The standard of the league is pretty poor so if players can come in at 18, 19 and compete and then gain experience and improve over the years that's good enough. I think some times we focus on bringing through sellable assets rather than players that are going to serve the club.1 point

We were top six scorers in the league and have scored 17 more goals this season than St Johnstone. This and the 'tombola' are two very tired memes.1 point
