What are you talking about? The same Clarke that got us to the first tournament in 22 years and played the newly crowned Nation League champions off the pitch to the point they were crying that Clarke?Aye rank rotten manager that guy should be sackedš Blows my mind its like folk want us to fail as a nation instead of progression nah best thing to happen to Scotland in a long long time but some folk are never happy never praise the wins but jump right online to moan about the draws and loses.3 points

Good luck to the guy, it's his career. Personally, I think he would have benefitted from being more of a regular starter here for another season as he enjoyed his most consistent run in the side since Kettlewell took over. Just on Wellfans point, it does seem a bit underwhelming to be linked with the likes of Preston North End and various League One clubs to then land at Harrogate. Hopefully it all work's out for Dean but I can't say I'm overly gutted about his departure.2 points

1st day back for the players for pre-season training and you're off and running with the "we're screwed and getting relegated patter" š¤¦āāļø2 points

Obika was utter shite when he wasn't injured. He only managed a goal when the ball hit off him. If we actually sign him again it's a sign we are going down.2 points

Iām amazed itās even being mentioned, heās one of the best keepers in the division and has saved us a ton of points.2 points

Are we seriously saying, lets take a few quid for a Scotland squad keeper? If he was to go and the next keeper delivered poor performances, I can imagine the comments about the management and the board. LK is a very good keeper, lets keep him in post! Obviously every player has a price, but to talk about moving LK on is madness,2 points

That last statement is nonsense. Carson and Gillespie were both better...2 points

I canāt believe that anyone who has watched us over the past two years wouldnāt want Liam Kelly to remain with us. He had some poor displays last season but overall he has been excellent for us and saved us from many a potential drubbing.2 points

I know Harrogate are pushing for promotion to League 1, but do they have a bigger playing budget than us? Genuine question.1 point

He's fine as a link up player.....provided we replace Van Veen with a decent striker. As for Cornelius. 'One of our Own' turns us down to go to Harrogate Town. Bizarre. He might do better down there since it's a less technical league....1 point

If he stays fit, he's got the attributes to be a useful foil for a goalscorer, I hope.1 point

And probably more financial reward than he's getting just now, good luck to him, hope he does well.1 point

Whatās he missing out on? Exposure at Ibrox, Darkhead & the city clubsā aside⦠not a lot. It's a risk. Opportunity to progress, more moves come with more responsibility.1 point

We had a 29 goal striker last season and weren't safe until 3 games to go. Take him out the team and we would have been relegated. If Paton and Obika are the level of player we are looking at we will get relegated. Who are the guys shaking hands with Tierney and SOD?1 point

steelboy needs one or two random players to call "utter shite" every season. He peaked when it was Higdon that was in his sights when he also accused him of being fat.1 point

If we replace KVV with Obika, Mandron, and Shields, we probably are screwed. Obika is good at holding up the ball, Mandron is good at occupying defenders, and Shields has proven he isnāt good enough for the Premiership. Importantly, none of them are goalscorers.1 point

But Carson never played at a higher level unless you count us as the pinnacle of his career, and as for Gillespie he's that good he's 4th or 5th choice at Newcastle so no big moves or regular 1st team football for him either, they were both decent but nothing special. Kelly has been immense for us since he arrived, one of the top keepers in the premiership and would have been capped for Scotland if someone other than that fud Clarke was in charge, so all told of the 3 we got the best deal in Kelly I think.1 point

Carson barely put a foot wrong in his first season with us before the DVT issue. He's spoken about his gambling issues which probably explain why he was playing for Hartlepool when he clearly had the ability to play much higher. Gillespie was great for as well, big saves and not too many errors. Kelly is a good keeper for us but not on Gillespie's level.1 point

Weāre all allowed opinions . carson and Gillespie weāre both very good . Personally I think Kelly has been better1 point
-
For first half of the season we had a very poor defence in front of Kelly gifting goals every week . as soon as butcher and Casey arrived we tightened up and Kelly got back to normal form . best keeper weāve had since likes of Randolph1 point

Quite happy for Liam Kelly to be the Well goalie much longer , he has made some blunders though few and far between compared with the saves to keep us in certain games . Could end up with worse1 point
-
He's exactly as good as I think, but I l do love a good wages rumour. Especially one that uses hard figures like "too much".1 point

Kelly is just fine, he did let his high standards slip for a bit this season. I still wake up in a cold sweat at night thinking about Stevie Woods and Craig Samson so I'll personally be enjoying the guys services until he departs.1 point

yip change the goalie for some £££££££ sign a new one to a big fanfare easy peasy BUT wait was that not what dundee utd done and signed the big guy from the australian league who then couldnt keep the proverbial hens oot the proverbial midden and was probably the main reason they went down so its a naw from me keep what weve got and build from the back, get a good spine sorted and build round about it1 point

While I appreciated Ready's frustration at the time, I remember his public complaints making him sound like a spoiled brat. His message seemed to be that footballers were special and shouldn't be treated like other employees in other businesses when administration kicks in. I'd imagine the vast majority of fans in Lanarkshire have been through redundancy at least once and didn't expect the special treatment Mr Ready was expecting.1 point

Definitely agree here. Dean was never going to get a game for preston who are a mid range championship team. Campbell who was far ahead of him aged 22 had to go at that time to mid range league 1 team. League 2 is best he could get based on his performances for us I'd imagine. Hope he does well the same as everyone else on here .0 points

Obika if thatās the sign of the quality we hope to bring in we will go down this season . Cmon give us some decent signings to get upbeat about0 points
