  1. I agree. I don't see why he would be leaving if we stay up or go down. He surely knew how badly Motherwell were struggling before he took the job. He clearly wanted the challenge

  2. The SFA as a whole is very much a case of the lunatics running the asylum. The only way it will ever change is if the clubs and supporters stand up to the organisation, en masse.

  3. Why on earth we even discussing this? Jeez guy only been in door 2 months and inherited a huge mess left by that previous person. 7 games left and come 5.00 Saturday might even be in top 6. See if we are 11th with say 2 games left then I will worry. Positive vibes folks

  4. The appeal process is a joke as well, we win the appeal, Balmer is clear to play, but we still lost the game. There are never any sanctions on the match referees, VAR, or the cheating opposition players who conned the ref in the 1st place. These are not one off incidents but the comfy wee clique that is the SFA do feck all to address the issue.

  6. This season has been a shit show from poor recruitment to a raft of injuries to then more poor short term signings to cover those injuries to then changing manager,it's a miracle were not in a worse position in the league, hopefully a bit of positivity around fir park on Saturday can help to get a big 3 points.on wimmer,he has been left with a shambles to sort through and it's hardly been a surprise that's it's been up and down since he came in,he will be learning all the time and is very close to being able to clear the decks and start to put a squad together that will be in line with his thinking.im happy that we took a chance on him too see what he can do rather than any of the usual hangers on that blight scottish football.

  7. Far too early to judge pal. There would have been a lot of discussions before he took over so I am quite sure he knows this will be a long term project. Let's just see how it pans out

  8. Armstrong's been a cheating wee fanny ever since he moved to Killie. I remember Furlong sorting him out once when he was at it a couple of seasons ago.

  9. It's normally @grizzlyg who's cracking the jokes but thankfully he's the voice of reason. The position we're in is not Wimmers fault but it is his problem to solve. He came in after the window and needs time, possibly years to sort out the mess. Irrespective of how we finish the season , the time for judgment is much longer in the future.

  10. If we are relegated he will go, I’m pretty certain of that. It may well be on his own terms or a mutual agreement but he’ll be gone at the end of the season if we are no longer in the top flight imo. I actually suspect that he might go in the summer regardless of what league we are in.

  11. He saw this coming and that’s the real reason he jumped ship.

  12. Id like to see a return to high intensity, high ball wins for this. Lets get after Hearts from the off and get right in their faces. Yes, half of our players will be breathing out their arses after 60 mins but pick the team and subs accordingly and we can do this. It might not be enough to get the win in the end, but it will be a damn sight better watch than the shite we have seen the last 2 weeks! (Not to mention getting some positivity back into the support). Oh, and can we have Lennon Miller back in his proper position please. Boy looks lost in whatever formation we are attempting to play right now.

  13. Even when we beat Rangers and Dundee, Casey gave away both the goals we conceded. As I've said before, I understand why people like Casey for his energy and disruptive nature in the oppositions' box. As a defender, though, he's constantly out of position, and struggles to pass the ball to his own team members. A liability, especially when he's paired up with Blaney - something like 3 clean sheets playing together in the league. There comes a point when the mentality of a defence is just broken and they are incapable of performing at the required level. For me, it was obvious we had passed that point last season. Some of our central defenders may go on and perform better elsewhere, but I honestly can't think of any combination of the current crop that I'd look at before a game and think "clean sheet".

  14. I don't have an issue with Wimmer. I just hope that he doesn't fall into the trap of being too stubborn. I said the other week that I thought Ox should have been in goals and someone said that I wasn't being positive about Balcombe. Also we don't know the time line that Ox should be back so I won't criticise him for that either. Like you say. We need to back the team

  15. I understand why people are unhappy. I went to my first away game in decades and had to watch that Aberdeen shit show. But I'm old enough to remember standing on the terraces at Fir Park in the winter with us getting battered off Morton. I don't think we are a shite team. I think we've just had lots of injuries this year and other things that have conspired against us. And if we do go down - fuck it. I'll support Motherwell till the end I honestly do hope Wimmer turns it around but if he doesn't it is what it is. I also don't think our players don't care about the club.

  16. Pretty sure Wimmer knew the task he was taking on. Hes surely not as miserable as the fans who pay to watch this. I'm not going to call it - but I hope we do enough to get out of the play off position. I also don't think every player we have is shit - we just have the same old issues of not scoring enough goals and having a leaky defence. Other seasons we scored enough to make up for the defensive errors. I do hope Ox is back in goals soon. I also don't think Mawhanise is the answer but the manager could do worse than give him a start on Saturday
