  4. This one up top business just won’t do. SOD and Balcombe are also shite, and Thompson is no better/worse than Wilson. Thank feck this season is over.

  5. Since we've gone through a fair portion of this season without a full compliment of fit central defenders, SOD has been asked, by two different managers, to fulfill a role that he's not suited to. To me, he deserves to be cut a bit of slack for that. He's come out and done what he was asked to do. I don't think he'd be anyone's first choice central defender, but two managers have decided that he was the best option available to them.

  6. The whole defence sells goals and has done for at least the past 3 seasons. That's why it needs to be ripped up and rebuilt from scratch.

  7. I heard he was told to wait to be picked up outside the front door, but when the bus arrived he was caught half way down Fir Park street watching it drive past.

  14. I often think that when he's playing too. Not surprising we've brought in a few fringe players, but the question is will they bring more energy to the side on the last day or less. Would not have had Miller anywhere Dingwall in a nothing game when there's millions at risk, however low that risk might be.

  15. I see that the rising East Kilbride have quite a few ex Well players on their books. Matty Connelly (on loan) David Ferguson Adam Livingston Jack Leitch Broque Watson

  16. Mika Biereth is the most prolific goal scorer in Europe at the moment, pity we never got to see him at Fir park longer, thanks to Charles Dunne https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c8d19961m33o

  17. Regardless of the Miller situation, Slattery is no different from any other Motherwell player. - a suitable bid comes in he will be off. He has done well the last few months and on current form a key player for ud moving on, but lets not kid ourselves that he's not replaceable.

  18. Thanks for stating the facts. And that appearance record includes a spell when the then Manager opted to leave him out, even when fit. The ACL injury is something interested Clubs will keep an eye on though so I guess January will be the window for offers if he is a regular until then.

  19. I agree that selling Slattery this close season would be far from ideal. Especially as we are resigned to losing Miller. However, we are a selling club and we cant dictate when another club will come in for our best players. Its kinda stating the obvious. But the club will have a valuation for all our players where we say, ok, on you go son, and it will be weighed up against the potential value of keeping them vs the risk of injury. Personally, Id be looking at extending Slattery now to protect ourselves. He may not sign, but given we looked after him through a career threatening injury, he might. As long as there is a release clause if a bigger club comes calling. That way everyone is happy.

  20. At the risk of sounding like that WWF wrestler from the 80's, everybody has a price.

  21. Kettlewell is most likely to do a Gannon and end up as a used car salesman. His verbose nature would lend itself well to such a career.
