  2. I think AP is going to have a good season with us. If we have balls coming in the box from both sides I can see him grabbing a good amount of goals.

  3. I am quite sure we will be able to source a striker . Take the money and run.

  4. Not a fucking chance we take that Stama offer. We've no forwards as it is. Stama is getting a rough ride for hee haw.

  5. If the Stama rumours are true, we should be taking that money and laughing all the way to the bank.

  6. If you want to be entertained go to the theatre, cinema etc not to a football match. What would you class as entertaining football, scoring 4 or 5 goals every game, Barcelona style tipy tappy boring as feck 59 pass moves, blood and snotters hoofball with everyone chasing the ball etc. If your team wins the vast majority of fans go home happy, the game might have been a total shitfest but if it results in 3 points nobody gives a feck. Supporting a team like Motherwell is a tough ask, we don't win every week, win a trophy every year, compete in the fantasy world that is the Euro group stages etc. But having watched Motherwell since 1970, winning a league title, Scottish cup, various Euro adventures, champions league and being a Premiership team for our 40th year now its gave me a lot of entertainment and great memories that greatly outnumber the bad experiences so I think we do OK.

  7. Ok I’m plucking figures out of the air here but £250k to buy plus say £50k signing on fee and a years wage at say £3k per week, £150k, gives us a potential £450k outlay on him. Add the sell on fee and what’s left is not a lot for the club. Keep him a year and if he has a good season we could get around £1.5m. Buying him was a gamble, why cash in early for next to no return?

  8. Im going to be my predictable self here and think we should keep Ap Stam He didn't spend all of last year on the treatment table. Yes he had injuries but the second one was a freak one. A ball hit off his arm in training and he broke his wrist. He made 16 appearances last season - a lot more than some other players who were injured did Who do we get to replace him? Do we really want to go into this season with no striker? And - I don't care whether he smiles a lot or if he has resting bitch face as long as he gets the job done I'll caveat that by saying I think we need another striker but I'm definitely on the side of keeping him

  10. AP Stama has been very good in the role despite what people think.

  11. Every player has their price and these days I get the impression that clubs rarely put a bid in for players where there's no possibility of a deal. Agents are contacted before clubs to test the water.. We may not be "actively looking to sell" but you have to figure that Viking have a fair idea that we (and Stamatelopolous) are open to a conversation. On that basis, we probably have a contingency plan in place...

  12. 800k for Stam I would swim with him on my back to Viking for that and I like him as a player! Take the money wedge down for Hale the rest would be history.

  13. That would make sense, a central defender who I have no doubt has been trained to death in the possession based set up JBA wants. Looks a top young player too. although the lad Dickson we got from them last year wasn’t great.

  16. For Watt, Slattery and Fadinger what is required is one to shave his head and the other to dye their hair blonde as I couldn't work out who was who for large chunks of the match 🤪🤪

  17. Wasn't Bair main attribute using his pace and strength to run in behind, chasing long balls? Maybe a passing midfield isn't what he'd prosper off. BTW I think we are still a bit away from having a 'passing midfield'.

  18. He was greetin' about the grass at Hampden and the physicality of the players when Scotland beat Spain. He wouldn't last 2 minutes in an away game at Livi.
