New Century Bar does not bad mobbed most match days but also gets a turn with live music. I’d say that’s one.2 points

This is where all the focus has to be, on this game. Not on cup dreams or transfer speculation. Going into the third round of fixtures and most seasons we have at least one round of fixtures where we struggle. 2 good rounds already so we need to play even better to have a good third round and hopefully keep us well in contention for top 4 spot. two teams above us play each other (Hearts v Celtic) and two teams below us play each other (Falkirk v Hibs) so if we take care of our business it could be a great day for us.2 points

He also, more importantly can't play in any cup ties. Imagine we ended up with the h**s or St Mirren in a cup final and we had to change our defence just for that. I'm not saying I wouldn't welcome him back cause I absolutely would, but that 72 min appearance for Celtic has diminished his value to us and any deal to take him back would need to reflect that.2 points

If we had a spate of injuries and were short of players for a position, would those getting their knickers in a twist about Welsh react the same way if we recalled a loanee whose wages we were paying to see if he could fill the gap? Especially if he was performing at an exceptional level. Pretty sure I read on here that some folk thought it would be a good idea to recall Whyte from Stenhousemuir to see if he could do a job in our midfield as cover for Watt or Slattery or perhaps sit on our bench to give us more options. Celtic are perfectly within their rights to recall Welsh to see if he can improve their current squad, bearing in mind injuries and other players moved on in this window. We knew that when he came to us as the recall date was included in the Agreement. If he does not cut it in training or game time he will be back with us soon enough, if we want him. All this talk about conspiracies, victimisation etc is nonsense. The situation is inconvenient and might be stalling us bringing in a new face or two. But that's all it is.2 points

With Cook, Hendry injured and AP doing AP things we still need another mobile front man.1 point

Fair comment. But for me another quality CB gives us scope for SODs McGinn and McGhee to cover injuries and rotation elsewhere. Once this window slams shut we need the squad depth to cover all eventualities. Doubts already exist as to when Watt will return and I believe Ross picked up an injury on Saturday. We are just not going to go injury free during the second half of the season. I agree other positions require more urgent attention but I am greedy.1 point

Hopefully the recent cases remain true then the next 3 games are against the sides at the bottom it's a great chance to build momentum heading into the cup game and if we manage to pick up 9 points we'd be well on our way to a European tour come July/August time.1 point

We have 16 league games left and he can’t play in two of them. Played 22 from total of 38. We have 2 already played Celtic twice so only 2’gamws against them if we are top 6.1 point

With regard to the Welsh situation, I think it is probable that a few people are overthinking the whole thing. Celtic are simply doing what they consider is best for them. They are in no way trying to screw us over. They don't care. The same goes for the player and his future. As such, I think it would be wise for us to act in a similar manner and ask ourselves what would be the best course of action in this situation for ourselves? If we can get Welsh back to Fir Park on the same terms as before, for the rest of the season then great. He has been an excellent player for us and there is no reason to think that will change. If they are thinking about making a move for JT and using Welsh as a bargaining chip then they can take a hike. Selling our prized assets to anyone in our league is generally a poor move as it, quite rightly, upsets our own fans and they will be offering less than we can get elsewhere if we really feel the need to sell.1 point

You’ve got to feel for Welsh. That mob are a disgrace. Rotten to the core.1 point

‘Wishing an injury on a young player’ is not what I did, I said that I hoped there was a reason he was taken off that was other than him having a poor performance having been put on as a second half substitute.1 point

Thought SODs had a very good first half. Just and Fadinger had good games when they came on. Went for Oscar for his overall performance, although he did spoil it a little with a couple of slack balls at the end. Special mention for Said noising the shit out if Big Iacovitti! He is some boy!1 point
