  1. Following the match online, I found myself in a bit of a dilemma. I would be beyond myself on every level measurable if we were to win the league but am realistic enough to realize that this is highly improbable., I lived in Edinburgh for most of my life so have a well merited dislike of Hearts. I have no real liking for St Mirren either when it comes down to it. I really detest the Old Firm. As such, I am prepared to accept the possibility of Hearts winning the league as being better than either of the bigot brothers doing so, especially as I now live on the other side of the world from Edinburgh. As such, Hearts losing is, from my original perspective, a poor result. This quandary has caused me to pause and consider ultimately what would be a good result for us tomorrow. I originally felt that a win would be fantastic and a draw, away from home against an improving Dundee side, would be acceptable in the circumstances. However, having taken the opportunity to delve deeply into my soul, I have come to the only logical and reasonable conclusion that only a win for us will do. It is not for any personal hope that I may revel in the glory of my team's success, or any misguided idea that their victory will make me, in any way, a better person. I am saying this because I honestly think that this Motherwell side winning the league will be a universally good thing. I believe that us winning the league will be a win for the good guys. The little guys who play by the rules and play the game the way it should be played. As such, I can claim with all honesty, sincerity and altruistically that a win for Motherwell is a win for football, a win for Scotland, and, in these dark and troubled days, a win for the whole of mankind. Too much?

  3. As long as we keep winning, what’s going on around us doesn’t really matter.

  4. Aarron Thompson plays left back i think. Seems highly rated and is regularly in Scotland u17s. He has alsi been on the bench.

  5. Our favourite referee, Dickinson with no hesitation in awarding his club a penalty against Killie and sending Thompson off after 3 mins. You can guarantee he will be the referee when they come calling next week. Dickinson is The bigots go to referee these days.

  6. This in fairness could be just what's needed . A full week before the cup game.

  7. There is rain and there is rain. It has not let up since the start of the year. Drainage can only shift so much

  8. It’s really harsh to blame Dundee for this. They sorted new drainage and a whole new root system for the pitch, but it’s rained pretty much non stop for weeks up there. Clearly couldn’t cope as there was no dry spell to soak some of it up.

  9. Dundee spent money on their pitch close season. Its looked like a bowling green all year. They can hardly be blamed for a weather system coming in off the North Sea for the best part of a week subjecting the entire area to persistent rain and snow. Also, our pitch isnt looking very good right now, despute the efforts we have gone to improve it. Should we also be fined?

  10. And it took them an hour and a half to come to that conclusion? Shambles

  12. Postponement would mean that we can hold a shadowy distance away from the top 3, keeping us under the radar longer & pressure off. The pundits & media wont bat an eyelid at us until we are touching the old firm. Leave us with games in hand may be no bad thing......

  13. Yeh, sadly I can’t see them having a pitch inspection at 2:30pm and giving it the go ahead when it’s forecast to rain right through to kick off. Frustrating as I was heading up, but might help us prep better for the next 2 which are huge!

  14. Tougher test tonight. Sorry to the fans planning to travel up there but I'd take a scrappy 0-0 to keep the clean sheets going. Of course a win by the odd goal would be more than welcome. Edit: just read the posts about the inspection. A postponement wouldn't be a bad result if it allows extra time for player recovery.

  15. I think we can get third place. We will catch one of the three. that’s my gut feeling.

  16. The split will be carnage and teams will be taking points off each other left, right and centre. Whilst winning the league may just be a bridge too far, a Skippy Sunday scenario isn't beyond the realms of possibility. If we can win tonight and next wed, then 2nd/3rd is in the mix.

  17. It's nice to be in the conversation without the pressure of being directly in the mix. Maybe the stealth approach will see us sneak up a position or two in the last few weeks.
