Ok so I’ve had a quick - we’ll not really that quick by the time I’d finished - look at this to see what could happen, firstly up to the split, Celtic win all their games apart from us - 72pts Hearts win all their games apart us - 72pts we win all our games - 68pts Rangers win all their games apart from the Celtic game - 67pts Post split: we win all our games - max 83pts Celtic win only 3 games and lose to us and any other team - max 81pts Hearts win all their games apart from against Rangers and us - max 81pts Rangers win all of their games apart from against us - max 79pts Obviously there are multiple outcomes of which this is only one but if you’re a dreamer, dream on Note: disclaimer my maths ain’t all that great at times and this could be a load of 🐂 💩

I'm nearly 60 and able to attend my first home game of the season. My goodness, to see a big crowd at Fir Park on a Feb Sunday to Stand Up And Sing For The Motherwell. Here's the thing: top 6 has never entered my mind. I'm looking up, not down. Let the Glasgow media deflect & defer to the ugly sisters. There's only one team playing football here. We play on, I summon the spirit of 32, 52 and 91.

Because like the Manager I take one target at a time Target 1. Avoid relegation .. tick Target 2. Top 6 ......... to be determined Target 3. 4th place and European football ....to be determined Target 4. 2nd place and Champions League football ... to be determined Target 5. Win the League .... to be determined Target 6 Win the Scottish Cup... to be determined

Forget the top 6, that’s a given. We need to be thinking of winning the league. Michael Stewart has given us his endorsement as league winners…… why can some gadgie from Edinburgh think this whilst our fans don’t. ok a wee but tongue in cheek …. but why the fk not….. I believe!!!

The defenders grabbed an arm each with Said! Couldbt believe they didnt get carded. Dickinson is no Bargain. But he is a bit of a Hunt!

A strange game that could have ended 7-3 or thereabouts to us. We deserved to win but made it awfully hard for ourselves. We should have had the game sewn up by half time were it not for some incredible misses. Aberdeen weren't bad themselves and could have scored 2 or 3 were it not for some bad luck striking woodwork etc. Not our best performance it has to be said. A Jordan McGhee assisted OG saved some last minute nail biting. We looked a bit jaded and defensively weren't as secure as normal, although we achieved another incredible clean sheet. Maybe we missed Fadinger's presnce in the middle? Like Rangers before them, Aberdeen were cynical, picking up 6 yellow cards which should have been even more. Perahps a back handed compliment to us. Quite why 2 defenders weren't yellow carded for blatantly hauling down Said is beyond me. Someone was also very very fortunate not to be red carded for a deliberate elbow on Paul McGinn. David Dickionson was in charge and he let his assistants know it. Still another win and clean sheet. Top six is becoming increasingly likely. Happy days indeed.

and the best team , we are better than the other three, no one will convince me otherwise.

If watching this team leave fans with fear and terrible feelings, we are in trouble. It doesn't get much better than this Relax. Enjoy. Cup ties are tough. We might lose, we might win. JBA will set us up to play our best. Only one team will win all of their cup games. Worst case, we are back to chasing a European spot at the weekend.

Assuming we win our game in hand (and Celtic do as well) We are 5 points behind Rangers and 7 behind Celtic and Hearts. We have Hearts and Celtic to play twice and Rangers once. Uglies have to play each other twice and Hearts once so points there to be dropped We are genuinely (albeit an outside chance) title contenders! If we keep the run going we have had since October, no reason why we cannot be there or there abouts

If the h**s win today which is looking that way just now, we’d be 10 points behind top with a game in hand. sometimes I have to pinch myself how incredible this season has been. Utterly incredible.

We are really getting hard to please, thought we played good stuff again That's past 2 games comments about not playing well, 4 pts from 6 v rangers and Aberdeen , take that any day. Take similar performance and result on Wednesday

The mark of heart attacks for fans.

That game was made much more difficult than it needed to be. After a tough, initial 20mins, Motherwell took control and should have been out of sight by half time. Just scored a lovely goal followed by the team having a series of missed chances. We really do have to improve our finishing. So many really decent opportunities were passed up. Even when not playing very well in the 2nd half, we still made chances and passed them up until Sam Nicholson did brilliantly in the final minute of the match to setup the 2nd goal (an OG). We were a bit fortunate in the 2nd half with some resilient defending and a bit of luck preventing Aberdeen from drawing level in the 2nd half. Still, winning by any means is still 3 points. 47 points at this stage means that the top 6 is pretty much assured, Europe is a real possibility, and a very high league position is still very much there for the taking. COYW!!!!

There pitch aint going to help us thats for sure. Its going to be a battle. We need to be more clinical and continue to have that bit of luck.

Think you can add Priestman and Sparrow as good performances today. Went for Priestman. His workrate is brilliant.

That's very possible. I was just responding to the post about him not having the technical ability when, for me at least, he has shown that he does.

Jens has done the opposite! Pretty much full strength! Must be hoping to put it to bed early then rotate those that need minutes. Fingers crossed!

If Campbell is to be believed, he said he he received offers in Scotland, England and Europe, but still trying to make the "right decision". Whether he was badly advised, or he made the wrong decisions, by not accepting one of those offers during the summer, he's set himself back another season.

Robinson's club interview after the game yesterday was mainly about the lack of effort and/or fitness in relation to the players who are not getting a game, despite St Mirren's form. Same stuff we all know - January signings are only about bringing in bodies with potential, because they can't afford to buy players who have actually been playing somewhere, even if that was English non-league. Campbell desperately needs someone to show some faith, keep him on beyond the summer and put him through a proper pre-season. There's surely still a player in there, but these short term deals, where his contribution is (unsurprisingly) almost zero, are killing his career.

I think the issue for Campbell has been he's barley played for the last 3 years he went from playing every game for us and Luton to sitting on various benches and his development stalled even when he's getting an oppertunity he's clearly not match fit. I reckon he's the sort of guy that will rock up at Thistle should they get promoted and return to form.

There's certainly something wrong with him. A real shame though as he alwyas had a great attitude even when he wasn't playing well.

It's MJC predicting us to win that scares me 🤣
