  1. I am unsure exactly when it happened, but at some stage in that match we must have earned the right to play football.

  2. That win tonight confirms us as top 6. Would need a 36 goal swing for DDU to overtake us assuming they win all games and we lose. We are top 6 people

  7. This is probably our strongest available starting eleven, and I fully expect JBA to go with it tonight. Iโ€™ll be disappointed if he thinks otherwise.

  8. Unbelievable performance but if any negative it was Slattery for that red card, I don't like seeing that and I hope Jens had a word, didnt impact result

  9. So pleased about this win because I'm one of those people who thinks we are genuine challengers for the league, but we had to bounce back after that midweek set back and we did with gusto. We've been the best team in the league over the last 20 or so matches, we now have the joint best goal difference in the league. If we keep this form and performance level going this team could do something amazing but are of course going to have to beat the teams above us.

  11. Some laugh hammering them 5-0 in their own ground and a great response from the cup game. We were basically perfect tonight, what a team we have. That goal from Blorgolfsson was unreal basically the budget Ibrahimovic!

  21. I really thought this was going to be a difficult game tonight. What a team this is. Scintillating.

  22. We don't need diving cheats in our team. We're better than that. We've been passing them off the pitch. That's much more satisfying.

  27. Unless he scratched his eye with a fingernail, there was nothing in that for even a yellow. VAR should have sorted that one out.

  28. The current wording of the rule: "Where a player commits an offence against an opponent within their own penalty area which denies an opponent an obvious goal-scoring opportunity and the referee awards a penalty kick, the offender is cautioned if the offence was an attempt to play the ball or a challenge for the ball; in all other circumstances (e.g. holding, pulling, pushing, no possibility to play the ball etc.), the offending player must be sent off." So he probably thought it wasn't an obvious goal-scoring opportunity - which is probably true as the ball was going out. Although I have read that wording 3 times now, and I'm not exactly sure.

  34. The thing that annoys me most about the Champions League is teams that win their domestic title but have to enter the competition at qualifying rounds. Meanwhile, other teams that finish 2nd or 3rd enter later in the competition. I know the competition has been dead an buried as a proper Cup since the big teams ganged up and decided getting knocked out in a early round wasn't fair to them (or their bank balance), but they could at least have all the Champions qualify automatically and enter at the same stage. I used to really enjoy the European Cup when it was 2-leg straight knock out. as it felt like a genuine competition. Now it's just yet another league that's manufactured to ensure the big teams win and are further enriched. I barely watch any of the games these days.

  35. I agree, if Falkirk win and we win, anything is possible. I see and hear a lot of our fans this season becoming more positive which is brilliant and refreshing from the traditional doom and gloom merchants.

  37. There's a post on our Facebook page that has a link to St Mirren, who are now selling 'additional' digital tickets to Motherwell fans. Mibbe 40 or so remaining.

  39. Definitely the team I would go with. But I havent got our starting line up right all season! Thankfully this is the last game of the tough run and we are back to 1 game a week now until the end of the season. If we can get thru this one without any injuries, load management shouldnt be an issue for the remainder and we will see this line up more often (or more likely with Fadinger in it!)

  40. Fucking hell. Thatsโ€™s not what was being said. Itโ€™s easy to discount the wild theory of some in favour of listening to those tasked to do so. Iโ€™ve offered plenty of opinion on the matters you say, Iโ€™m appreciative my thinking aligns currently and enjoying it while it lasts. Disappointed as we all are, fact is we had no better chance than we do any other year.
