  1. There definitely was a mental block that ran right through the club for far too long when it came to these types of games. IMO it could be traced all the way back to Butcher and then Alan Burrows banging the “punching above our weight” drum for years and numerous managers, coaches, players and supporters fully bought into that. Before the March ‘24 win at Ibrox I genuinely thought we would never beat either OF side ever again but breaking that duck gave us the shot in the arm that we had been in desperate need of for years. On a side note and I know this doesn’t matter much to many, but it does to me…I was delighted to see us beat Rangers at Ibrox for the third year running but this time wearing our proper C&A kit. The last three league wins there we’ve been in our change kits going back to Owen Coyle day in ‘97. So Sunday must have been the first league win at Ibrox wearing our first kit since 94 or 95. 🍻

  2. East Kilbride manager should have been a stick on nomination.

  3. Facts are wasted on stumers, something I have discovered the hard way. You were quite right, best not to engage, and not to argue with half wits.

  4. I'm definitely liking the fact we are releasing Retro kits as there was classics from that era and when you see people at the games wearing them they definitely stand the test of time Next one for me should be the 1994/1996 Home which I had , and I loved Unfortunately for me someone stole it from my Mum's washing line back in the day so I'd definitely pay for this one

  5. Agree about that. Away kits are all about shifting product now. Much better to play in club colours whenever possible.

  6. I was talking to a Rangers fan earlier today whom I always thought was quite normal. He quickly blew that by saying he was sick of Scottish football because everyone was raising their game just to beat Rangers. When I pointed out both Hearts and MFC had beaten Celtic there was an awkward moment: which allowed me toexpresss surprise at the time. I thought it was Sellick fans who were supposed to be paranoid.

  8. Plenty of footage of it doing the rounds. Hibs fans were also at it when we were beating Hearts the other week.

  9. That was massive, and for all the disappointment about dropped points early in the season, that pain and frustration was a necessary learning experience to be able to do what we did on Sunday. No panic, no abandoning the system or reverting to bad habits. Stick to plan and look to find the winning goal. I read Kris Boyd saying at 2 - 2, given who they were playing, Rangers should have shut up shop and been content with the draw because we were always likely to get a 3rd. Changed days.

  10. The mental aspect of it is also great. To go there, be pegged back, survive the onslaught and the crowd, then go up the park and win the game will bring a resilience. We have utterly dominated and wiped the floor with both the OF for complete halves. Ideally you'd do it for the 90, but they are always going to have a period of control in games. Its more of the incremental mindset change.

  11. Always been a big Slatts and will be sorry to see him go. Although we didn't get to see it often, Miller-Spittal-Slattery was a great combo. Who knew we end up with an even better one? I'm assuming he's not off to St Mirren.

  12. VAR owes us one (or two) in this fixture.

  13. Pat's a great speaker and has a lot of good stories to tell. He came over to Guernsey for our annual literary festival after his book came out (which I bought, read and enjoyed). He's really not the pantomime villain that a lot of Motherwell fans want him to be, so I highly recommend going along and listening to what he has to say about our club that he still has a great deal of affection for.

  15. I was one of Ward’s biggest critics at the start of the season, but credit where it’s due. He’s not just a keeper benefitting from a good team, he’s a key part of why it’s good.
