The club is currently on the crest of a wave; attendances are well up and season ticket sales are booming. Presumably then, the club will also want to stimulate more home end ticket sales for next season. So why are these ticketing problems emerging now? Understandably it could dissuade some Well fans and potential ones from attending.
I get that MFC is concerned that some Hearts fans and certainly Celtic ones might snap up home end tickets for the upcoming games. So, some safeguards will be justified. Hows about this for a suggestion. A statement be issued on social media and on the Official site that away fans will, respectfully, not be allowed to buy tickets in the home end. Our season ticket holders and PATG fans should be required to sit in their allocated seats for these 2 games. No exceptions. If any away fans are found to be occupying "home" seats then they will be ejected and those seat numbers will be recorded and the owners/purchasers contacted afterwards. I'll state the necessary caveat that the Police may not be happy with this draconian line.
