  3. After all the work you done during the Barnack debacle , i was extremely surprised that you were not voted onto the society board at the time . Would you consider standing again if the opportunity arose in the future. I think you would be an excellent addition to the board.

  7. I don’t know if it was sang before but the first time I heard and sang it was at Ibrox after the play off game and the rage of the Rangers fans as we were singing it makes it an all time classic for me.

  10. A common mistake, at least amongst journalists and fans, is to think individuals need replaced. While it's true to some extent, that's not really how it works. Classic case is Lennon Miller. After we sold him, we reshaped our midfield, brought in guys like Fadinger, Watt and Just and changed the way we played. In the end, we had a stronger midfield that the one Miller played in, without ever replacing Miller directly.

  11. The prices are quite grim. Finnair were doing direct flights from Edinburgh for about £350 return a week ago. But they have gone thru the roof. Everything else is a bit of a trek.

  12. What colossus of the contemporary music scene do you propose to replace it? Doechii? Chappell Roan? Psychedelic Porn Crumpets?

  14. Money makes the world go round. Not as easy as it sounds but....... work with NLC, buy the school out - assist them to relocate if necessary, that effectivly doubles the FP footprint when you take into account our pitches. That allows much more of a redevelopment/new stadium on the existing site, keeping us in touch with the town & our roots while realising many of the benefits G&F puts forward. As i said, not easy but its certainly worth exploring, particularly when we have funds which can smooth the process........

  15. 'Well Again says it was 13/2/65. Andy score two and Joe McBride the other. His corners were often "bananas" or "yella hings" as we called them in the frozen wastes of EK.

  17. I think Lowry is a player thst could really suit our style. This is a big opportunity for him so hopefully got a point to prove. On separate note ( and fearing wrath of spiderpig 🤣🤣). If our new style involves more crosses I wonder if this could benefit AP if he can stay fit. Always feel he's a penalty box player

  18. A classic example of a player who took pelters for years after he joined us for being big and useless.

  19. Kirk is without doubt one of my favourite players ever - even outside the cup I loved his attitude . the cup was fantastic . I remember feeling confident in extra time because he hasn’t scored yet and he didn’t let us down . Despite all of that and him being a cult hero I don’t believe he’s the best ever signing . I more think he was the worse ever sell - I was livid that we traded him and McGill and for eddy May and money - wtf

  20. For me Greatest Ever Signing isnt about financial recompense. Its who had the greatest impact at your club. For all the reasons listed above it has to be Davy Cooper. Quite simply, without him, we dont win the 91 Scottish Cup and dont have the 2 nearly title winning teams (allow me licence) of my generation. Some of the older guys might point to other players outwith my memory base and guys like Graham, Wark, Marinello, Davidson etc will always have a special place in my heart, but Cooper is still the best Ive ever seen in Claret & Amber.

  21. I really don’t get why anyone defaults to think that if we do move we’ll endeavour to build the single worst thing we can devoid of any merit or atmosphere. I’ve only ever see St Mirren but our sloppy seconds than the other way round. I think to convince people it’s more about human nature. I’m often drawn to something I studied while at uni. The Golden Gate Bridge was initially opposed be literally everyone. Today it’s inconceivable to imagine San Francisco without it and it’s universally loved as a cultural icon. Groups: U.S. War Department Feared the bridge would obstruct military operations or, if destroyed in war, block the entrance to San Francisco Bay. Shipping companies Thought it would interfere with navigation and large ships entering the harbour. Southern Pacific / Golden Gate Ferries Didn’t want to lose their profitable ferry monopoly. Sierra Club and conservationists Argued it would scar the natural landscape and damage the environment. Taxpayer groups Believed it was far too expensive and financially reckless, especially during the Depression. Board of Supervisors and civic leaders Worried about debt, toll revenue and political risk. Engineers Claimed it couldn’t survive the currents, winds and fog. Strauss’ original design was mocked as an “upside-down rat trap.” Residents and preservationists Felt it would ruin the beauty and character of the Golden Gate and Marin Headlands.
