Footballers don't always have to "step up" when they move. Some folk just need a change of scenery now and again to keep them motivated. Would be an odd choice if he had better offers on the table of course, but there are worse places to play your football than Tannadice.

Ach, let's not get too carried away here. 125 years isn't really *that* significant a number, in the "big anniversary numbers" scheme of things. If it was our 100th or 150th anniversary, I'd be a bit more miffed that we didn't have a special strip for the year. But 125? Meh. I'd much rather our strip just said "Scottish Cup Winners 2010/11" on it sometime soon

Hope the Puma logo isn't on it; if it is, would probably look a bit more balanced if the "125 years" was midway between the Puma and MFC logos, rather than underneath the MFC. Good stuff, though.

Would agree with the first part -- of all our top six games, this was really the only one in which taking a point or three could have had a positive effect on the outcome of our season, so there was no excuse for not playing for a win. I don't agree with the second part though. Even if there are people in our team playing for a move, today was the ideal day to put themselves in the shop window, but I doubt any of the scouts there today would've been impressed.

On the plus side, at least nobody can accuse of making it too easy for Celtic to win the league to guarantee us a euro spot...
