And that's the problem you have with the younger players now. As soon as they reach 16 and even before, they're inevitably snapped up by the arse cheeks and English clubs dangling carrots so the chances of the exceptional ones coming through the ranks to our 1st team is getting less and less. The golden age days are well and truly gone.

I'm sure most season ticket holders who were able to would gladly waive all those benefits if the money saved was used to improve the squad.

tbf to Las hes only had a day and a half to prepare for a game so I wouldn't judge him on that but I do agree that I don't see him as our manager going forward. I think all we can hope for short term is for results to keep us within touching distance of teams round about us until a new manager comes in with new ideas and hopefully some new players.

tbh any young Scottish player who opted to stay in Scotland over the chance to ply his trade down south is in serious need of psychiatric help. Said it when Turnbull went to Celtic and haven’t changed my mind. Only worry I would have with Campbell in the Championship is he would be up against some absolute giants and Im not sure he has the physique to compete at that level. Would love to be proved wrong though. Dont want to lose him though as we’re going to need every decent player we’ve got in the next few weeks.

The next 2 Saturdays will be the acid test as to whether Las and Ross were part of the problem or if they were as frustrated as the fans and had no real say in tactics or line ups We will either come out the traps flying because a weight has been lifted or we will get more of the same. Whatever happens will tell us a lot about the players and how we approach appointing a new manager.

Watching the Rangers game just now with a stop watch to try and prove a point to myself. Twice in the first half McGregor has held on to the ball longer than 6 seconds. Once for 10 and another for 14. Interesting!!
