    New Songs

Thought there were some good efforts in there Made me think that maybe we need a thread started where you can leave ideas for new songs/chants. A relative virgin on here so don't know if its been tried before?
  4. Need to think up a song for him. No many words that rhyme with Daley right enough, only one I can think of is Gayly
  5. First and last visit to this shithole. When you get 6 and 7 year olds runnin up to disabled supporters shoutin "F*** off you dirty orange B******* egged on by their fathers then it aint worth the hassle, especially when you bring it to the attention of the Anti sectarian polis who tell you "they're only weans" while trying to train their video cameras on the Motherwell fans while conveniently ignoring the Green Brigade. I walked out in disgust after 75 mins If any Celtic fans insist that they don't have a problem and its only a "minority" who act like that then I at least will know that they are actually living in cloud cuckoo land
  6. They said that the figure they would like to raise is in the region of 1.5m which would give us a buffer against approx 3 lean years. The logic behind that is if we finished outside the top 6 and got knocked out of both cups before january then we would lose approx 700k each season it happened so if it happened 3 years on the trot then it would be the worst case scenario which would mean we would have to sell players or cut costs to make up the shortfall or heaven forbid, go down the admin route again. The funds raised would help to prevent that hopefully. Again some might say that raising 1.5m is pie in the sky but if you took 3000 season ticket holders who each took out a steel membership at £300 thats 900k and if they got 10 companies taking out the 1886 membership at 25k then you can see that 1.5m is maybe not as unachievable as you think. Bear in mind that the annual membership thereafter at £30 for 3000 members would be 90k then its even more achievable. They also said that flexible payment terms would be on offer so a £300 membership over 12 months works out at £25 which is pretty affordable in my book. I would rather go down this route than do a Dundee and have to organise charity auctions and sponsored walks round Strathy Park to raise funds to stave off administration
  7. I really think you should apologise for that comment LT. It offends me and (I hope) many others on here. There are people with learning difficulties and disabilities who I stand beside at Motherwell games and spend their lives having to listen to that kind of shit from morons without having to read it from fellow supporters on here.
  8. Not much to add to the above. It's an opportunity to invest some money into the club I love and help to make its future a bit more secure, as simple as that so I,m going to put my money where my mouth is and hopefully many others will do the same .
  9. Can we no just cut all the phone lines into Fir Park until 12 o'clock?
  10. Has anyone went on their fans forum and said what happened? Let the decent Pars fans know that they're not as lily white as they think they are.
  11. Some short videos of the support on Saturday http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vF_4EQJM--o http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onInGnVBUaA
  12. Think it was appreciated by Humph when he made a special effort to come down to the stand to applaud the supporters. Just shows that we underestimate the effect it has on players when we get behind them. btw security guy told me that it was the first time this season that stand had been opened due to the shit away supports to date. I think we should all give ourselves a pat on the back for that
  13. Sorry, seems my attempt at injecting some humour into the debate fell short of the mark. I,ll try better the next time. Seems to me the wee guy probably thought the banner was funny rather than sectarian but I suppose in the current climate he was being a bit naive.
  14. First of all I don't understand all the fuss over a banner about a 4th Century nomadic tribe. Secondly from where I was I counted 8 stewards and 4 polis controlling about 100 'Well fans and the same amount for 3 thousand odd Rangers fans, but then again they didn't wake up until the 90th minute when they were 3 goals up so the stewards probably didn't have a lot to do up till then anyway.
  15. He was in charge of looking after the pitches at the Lennoxtown training complex and worked at Celtic Park on matchdays.
  16. Apart from 1991, any of the Texaco Cup games when we played Stoke,(Gordon Banks who was the best goalkeeper I have EVER seen),Spurs (whit a game and whit an atmosphere and whit a goal by Bobby Watson), gettin lifted in Norwich for being drunk and disorderly and havin to hitch hike it home. Happy days before the advent of all seater stadiums. A just wish video cameras had been invented then and all the younger ones on here could see what the atmosphere was like at Fir Park in the days of "The Choir"
  17. Whats all this pish about "dominating posession and territory" 52% 48% posession in favour of the 'Well doesn't back that up. OK the Midden might have dominated for a couple of short periods but then so did we.The stats don't lie over 90 mins
  18. Thought the support the team got today was superb. Well done guys
  19. Probably see you there then just try and perfect a good Scottish accent to get through the gate.
  20. I would imagine this would have been at the request of the local plod so they have an idea of how many travelling fans to expect and organise their resources accordingly
  21. Wonder if you get a discount if you show your season ticket
  22. Sorry mate but there is a Brian Heron managing Maryhill and I was talkin to him at a Junior game 4 weeks ago. He was talking about the old days at Motherwell so just assumed it was the same one. WEIRD!!!! Mibbe a relative??
  23. For those who remember Brian Heron (goin back a bit here) he's now managing Junior side Maryhill.
  24. And why would any employer agree to pay a bonus (which they were under no legal obligation to do so)to someone who was leaving anyway. A verbal agreement is only legally binding if there is an impartial 3rd party who can verify what was said and agreed, so unless Broony has someone to verify his claim to a bonus (and Knox isn't impartial) then he would find it hard to prove at any tribunal. Admittedly the same criteria applies to Boyle to prove he didn't agree to pay a bonus. It's a mess which could drag on for ages yet so why don't Aberdeen agree to pay us compensation of 8k for pinchin Broony then tell them just to put it in a brown envelope and give it to him at training honours even
  25. On the contract front, I worked for the Royal Bank of Scotland for 20 years an got an annual bonus every April depending on how much profit the bank made. I resigned in the November so am I due 6 months bonus for the time I was there and my contribution to their profits, of course not. I chose to go early and gave up any rights to my bonus so whats different for Broony. (That of course was in the days when RBS actually made any profits ) But I hope the still game stand-ins keep it up as they're making biggers tits of themselves as the days go on.
