  1. --------------------Ruddy---------------- Moutaouikil--- Craigan--- Reynolds--- Hammell ------------------Jennings--------------- --------------Coke------ Lasley----------- -------------------O'Brien---------------- --------------McHugh-------Jutkiewicz Quite looking forward to tomorrow night to see how we will line up. But I would rest Forbes, Saunders, Hateley and Sutton and bring in Craigan, Lasley, McHugh and Jutkiewicz. I would play Jim O'Brien in a role behind the two strikers with him getting down both wings where possible. Hopefully another clean sheet and bang in a few goals to see us in to the Quarter Finals.
  2. Ruddy for me. Apart from his heroics with the great triple save i thought he commanded the penalty area very well claiming almost everything in the air and he kicks the ball very well too, 2 things that Smith couldn't do. Hopefully we will get to keep him till the end of the season at least.
  3. Cracking result yesterday absolutely delighted that we came home with the three points. First away win i've saw in the league for over 12 months after ten attempts. I thought the performance was quite ordinary yesterday with Ruddy, Reynolds and Saunders being our three best players. Moutaoukil played quite well too but i thought he was getting dragged out of position a bit too much when he was pushing up the park. The new strips look minted as well. Hopefully we can win our next two home games that should see us going into the Celtic game with a chance of topping the table. Who would of thought that after the disaster on the 2nd of July against Llanelli. Well done Mr Gannon keep up the good work. Mon the Well!!!!!!
  4. ---------------------Ruddy---------------- Moutakil------Saunders----Reynolds-----Hammell ---------------------Hately------------------ ------------Jennings-----------Coke--------------- O'Brien---------------------------------McHugh ---------------------Sutton-------------------- I think it will be a tight game but hopefully we can pull off a win. I'll go for 2-1 to Motherwell.
  5. Interesting figures there. Quite surprised that there was only 3000 fans there on Saturday for the normal seats. I suppose the prices as mentioned before will have a big impact on the number of punters paying at the gate and having to buy a ticket beforehand.

I voted for Saunders I thought he was excellent today after a slightly shaky start. Prefer him to Craigan at centre back now as he is really good in the air and certainly never lost many balls today.
  7. Disappointed to have only 6 points on the board after our opening four games especially after missing the late penalty. I thought we passed the ball about really well today apart from when we got into the final third when it seemed that Coke would stop going any further forward. I thought Hateley, Saunders and Ruddy in goals were our three best players on the park today. I can't wait till we get Slane back as he could of really torn there back four to shreds today.
  8. I'm more comfortable with him not playing at centre back where he got turned so many times last year. I thought he has done well this season wherever he has been picked to play.
  9. He more or less said in the Record the day that he would be leaving in one of the next few transfer windows. Canny see him being here much longer than 18 months to be honest.
  10. Quite disappointed with the performance yesterday. Jim O'Brien was the only real threat in the team going forward i felt. Saunders played well at the back, good to see him in the starting line up for the second week running. We certainly missed not having Slane and Humphrey on the bench as these are the types of players that could of made a real impact on the game when coming on. All in all a draw was a fair result but disappointed not to take all three points against that mob.
  11. Not that long back from Aberdeen and after reading a couple of papers spouting a lot of shite it has pissed me right off. Fair enough the paedo chants were a bit over the top, (but funny) this shite about calling him a f****n is disgraceful and they arsehole journals should be retracting that statement in their papers tomorrow. Just saying what they wanted to think they heard to get us in trouble when they are sitting at the other end of the ground, wankers. Total over reaction to this as well it was just a laugh.
  12. There was 2 turnstyles open when we got there 15 minutes before kick off i'm sure.
  13. Quite looking forward to this one now. Would go with; Ruddy Saunders Craigan Hutchison Reynolds Hateley Slane Coke Forbes O'Brien Sutton 3-0 win for us. Fuck Mark McGhee!! What's everybodys thoughts?
  14. It's a difficult game to call if we defend like we did last week we won't stand a chance but if we are like what we were in the second half apart from the defensive side of the performance i think we will win quite comfortably. If Slane is fit bring him back in for Craigan and leave Sutton on again for the first half to see how he fairs and mark Kevin Kyle if needed.
  15. If McGhee was still here Fitzpatrick, McGarry and Darren Smith would probably be in ahead of the youngsters that are finally getting their chance the now.
  16. Its something that i've always felt that the team have lacked in recent years. Looking at the team at the moment i would only say that Coke,Sutton,Craigan and Ruddy(compared to Buzz,Fraser) are physically strong and should come out on top of most 50/50s. Looking at teams such as Hearts, Dundee United and Kilmarnock they all have players that have a real physical presence on the park and particularly at set pieces can use this to their advantage. Again on Saturday we lost two goals from corners, poor clearances it has to be said, and this will continue to cost us during the season unless we don't get a big centre half in to do something about it.
  17. The 4-4 game against Celtic 4 years ago when we came back from 3 nil down to 4-3 then Beattie scored late on. Was on holiday at the time in France but can mind listening to it in an Irish bar going mad at every goal we got that day. Hopefully we'll take all 3 points tomorrow though. Mon the Well!!!!!!
  18. I think Saunders just needs to put on a bit of weight and get a run of games in the first team then he should be a more established player. I am sure he would do a better job than Jim O' Brien who can't be expected to be great playing in an unfamiliar position.
  19. Heard the day that his Dad is wanting him to go to Celtic and the Motherwell management team are telling him otherwise. At the end of day he has a far better chance of making it if he stays with us for 3 or 4 years than going to they manky bastards. Hope he makes the right choice whenever that time may come.
  20. I think that we will finish in the Top 6 possibly pushing for third or fourth. Hopefully this year we won't be conceding as many goals from set pieces and with a commanding goalkeeper in John Ruddy. I would expect him to save us at least half a dozen goals from corners, free kicks where Buzz would not. Glad to see a lot of pace in the team this year, Slane especially the one to watch this season. There's a few players needing to put a stone on and gain a bit of muscle, Murphy, Reynolds and Saunders to name a few. All going well avoiding injuries and suspensions reaching the top 6 should not be a problem.
  21. At least he can tell that they they are not good enough to play for Motherwell FC and has the balls to get rid of them, where McGhee could have done this a year or two ago.
  22. Obviously gutted to be out the Europa League, but we've got every reason to be proud of the performance last night. The first 60 minutes is easily the best we have played in the last 12 months considering the opposition. When we went out to Nancy last year I went home unhappy because we were shite but last night put a smile on my face and makes me very optimistic that we can have a successful season ahead of us. Mon the Well!!!!!!!
  23. He said in The Sun the day that it would spur him on to try harder, just hope he doesn't try too hard and starts fucking things up. Inevitably the racism will happen tonight.
  24. Was quite looking forward to the game tonight until I heard Shakters result last night against some Romanian mob. I think this shows that we will be in for one hell of a hard game and to come out of it 3-1 or 2-1 would be an ideal result. Best of luck for the game tonight and lets hope you can do us proud!!! Mon the Well!!!!!!!!!!!
