Ferries has shown absolutely nothing to suggest he could do anything. Let's not get blinded because he's from our youth.

Sounding a bit desperate their David He is doing not bad imo and better than some have said he would do. Lot of variables in football that some don't see and never will see.

like most have commented he does not give of much confidence that he can score a lot of goals but I will reserve judgement until hes been in team a few weeks and see for myself. all about opinions and even last year lots on here were saying spittal was shite before kettlewell even though he had at that time outwith van veen highest goals and assists. Ferrie is also nowhere near ready and I didnt understand when someone said hes impressed in lc group games as I certainly never saw anything to suggest that. I cant remember him even having a shot but hes only 17 so plenty of time there.

Big difference between kyogo.hatate abada et al and tierney David and comparing them is just silly. He is imo and others too lightweight because up to this point he has shown he can't do things that the aforementioned celtic players do so his deficiencies get highlighted more. Our most successful team of recent times that got to 2 cup finals was made up of 6ft battlers and whilst the football was grim it worked results wise. I now feel that we have to go this way as the quality of attacking players/wingers that we can afford are usually not good enough(van veen apart) to beat any of the defenders in the league on a 1 on 1 scenario. Kettlewell also feels this hence the 352 since he came in and not playing any so called more skilfull players.

Disagree jonny as apart from mcginn who got motm him slattery and Spittal were only others who looked semi competent. Our best moments were when those 4 at different times combined down right hand side . Definitely need a striker or the 2 there just now improve drastically which is a doubt going by last 3 games but still time. Hope the new midfielder is an upgrade on miller so we can feed him in slowly as today I felt he got a bit dominated which is to be expected I suppose. If you look at any club in Scotland im sure we do as good or better than most in bringinging in funds for our youth so the slight on board is easy to make i dont believeits true..As has been said by others max's dad would have had huge impact on his decision and I feel he was never going to sign new deal. He is going to sturm graz maybe for seemingly 10k a week but if he hadn't played last 13 games of season for us he would likely still have been able to get a better contract than we would have offered at an epl 1 or 2 club. Dean Cornelius is away to Harrogate Town and I'm sure max johnston would have got similar as a minimum.

Reading the report on game seems lennon miller quite involved with shots tackles and hitting free kicks which I feel is quite telling. He certainly looks very accomplished and although only 16/17 is a big boy so here's hoping. Goal for Wilkinson another bonus.

Definitely agree here. Dean was never going to get a game for preston who are a mid range championship team. Campbell who was far ahead of him aged 22 had to go at that time to mid range league 1 team. League 2 is best he could get based on his performances for us I'd imagine. Hope he does well the same as everyone else on here .

Your 2nd point I am 100% on board with as I said in previous post it's great to see young scottish boys kick on. 3rd point and yes loyalty in a sense cannot be put in front of betterment to yourself however in any walk of life there's different ways of doing things.

Anyone in any industry looks after themselves 1st obviously but if max is as sure of himself as all the targeted media about himself then he could have signed a deal like turnbull did for example. I'll caveat that with saying I appreciate everyone's different and I don't know ins and outs. The more I read and hear on max johnston the more disappointed I am with the situation. He's been here since he was 12 we have obviously looked after him and at 19 he just fuks off after 17 games and some decent performances. Yes he's got to look after himself as has everyone but it looks like he does not care one bit for the club that has ultimately helped shape him. Same as hastie and to lesser extent cadden unfortunately.

See aberdeen have released a few. Dean Campbell and Connor mclennan I feel have something about them. Both lots of 1st team experience but neither have set Heather on fire anywhere but only 22 and 23 . Maybe kettlewell could work his magic on them and instill some confidence. Don't imagine they would be out our price range.

I also feel what's being underestimated about Wednesday is there was just encouragement generally from fans rather than what was happening at end of hammell and Alexander and other recent managers reigns. The new manager bounce is in part down to him but also the difference in attitude from fans maybe enables players to run a wee bit further and a wee bit faster as well as wanting the ball more. The cheering for even wee tackles on Wednesday no doubt gave them a boost and I hope it continues on Sunday. We have imo been robbed against them this season. Fir park was just one of those days but tynecastle we were cheated as Gordon should have been sent and hearts down to 9. That's not sour grapes just facts. Looking forward to Sunday although quite aware they have a really gd team .

Had 4k on Wednesday. So with what's been a little positivity since then maybe 4500 on Sunday. St mirren have increased their core support to 5.5 , 6k really based on beating and drawing with glsgow 2 I feel. As well as only giving them 1200 tickets makes their fans not outnumbered at their stadium. Anytime they come to us with 5k away fans it's not enjoyable because of results and them outnumbering us and generally taking the piss due to size of our away stand. . I am not complaining about this as it is a good income stream but I do feel it affects our core support as you put it. If only we could get support like play off game.

The chat on here was to blame hammell for the cliques because of his attitude from those seemingly ITK. Couldnt agree more and why I feel we need to retain somewhere our legends i.e hammell,clarkson,lasley,craigan etc etc. Because if we dont have ex players like these somewhere in the building then the real problems will begin. Jobs for the boys may be relevant sometimes however none of us really know who is best man for the job in numerous roles and I for one feel better if said person in role has some connection to us.

Formations are easily flexed 442 goes to 451 or 443 or 4231 without ball. Van veen has been far too isolated recently in way team has been set up. Lots of teams are playing 442 again like Fulham last night , aston villa , few in world cup etc. Its all down to what players do with and without ball more than formations imo I'm with you on same ploy as earlier in season where it was certainly our best performance of season for what I can remember. That's team I'd pick also couttsy. Van veen needs help up front .crankshaw looked our best player last couple. Mckinstry I felt was coming on to game before being dropped on Wednesday. Cornelius and slattery are better than goss and defense picks itself. Lots of options upfront to change (not saying they are any good though) . Huge game and I'm happy with a draw the now with performance better than Wednesday to give some confidence for next week scottish cup.
