Ohara has to start for me also some say what does he do. I can ask same about all our midfield unfortunately but here's a stat I saw earlier. Including league cup knockout game and scottish cup games and league Ohara in team won6 drew6 lost4 Ohara out team won5 drew5 lost12 Now I know there's a lot of other variables in games but that says a lot.

I agree with a lot of your post but I honestly think his instructions limit us. Slattery imo is gd on ball but he has no one to pass too. As I said on other post kvv huge miss but Woolery wide right 1on1 v barasic gives us a chance. Slattery kelly woolery and kvv are my only certain starters but 2 of them have been dropped for lots of season and other has been suspended. Start of 2nd half why did we not pass it about at back between our 4 and kelly for a while to get their 10 men running around and frustrate their fans and give us the belief that we were now in control? So may questions to answer that can't be answered on here but as you say bottom line is we have poor players.

Yep and I get that but everyone says some things that they then go back on. Just.my view as I can't see what Alexander is trying to do. All this season I can only think of hearts and dundee utd at home and aberdeen in cup that we played well. 2 of those were in pishing rain and other was cup . He still doesn't know his best team . Cmon ya bezzer you know as well as me and others we got very lucky at both games at ibrox. I have been giving Alexander benefit of doubt but after today I'm now wanting him away. A decent manager would have changed at half time to really go and beat 10 men but we let them pass about at back to then hit wright and sakala to run at us and over top. I am really pissed of at today as another poster said that was our time but we shat it. How woolery doesn't start mystery as even though he loses ball he makes another of their players come over to cover barasic which should mean space elsewhere. Missed van veen big time today plus I felt ohara should have started. I'm fully aware they are miles better than us but lack of fight ambition and basic football skills against their 10 men has again got me scumnered and I want Alexander replaced now. I'm actually a bit shocked by response to this. Whilst I would never want to back down to either of them I can see how some might see it. However I see it as beneficial to us also in we have an extra day rest before utd game as well as I'd imagine players desperate to get back after 2 week since livi game where we finished on a high. I also can totally understand frustration with people who have made arrangements and now can't make it but also there would have been some who couldn't make the Sunday and now can so its swings and roundabouts I'd imagine. It will be hilarious if we can get something out game after all their fans on twitter sooking up to burrows for so called helping them out. Can't wait for Saturday now and also maybe a great Saturday afternoon in pub after a gd result which wouldn't have been as good on a Sunday.

Yes I agree with you but although not privy to all goings on I felt his removal summed up scottish football. He must have had something about him as assistant at napoli juventus chelsea and Italy as well as others. There's no way he'd have been in those jobs without being good at coaching. However kirk broadfoot kris boyd etc said he was hopeless and that was it really for him. The dressing room didn't want to change and we're happy to accept the status quo. When I first saw Considine released I thought yes definitely but then saw he's 35 and he's been out all year which put me off a bit. Might come back and give a gd couple of years to someone or even more . He's certainly better than Lamie .

Yes gallagher definitely I must have wiped him from my mind somehow. He was great 1st year. The rest that you quote I'd say very similar with pros and cons similar to lamie. In regards replacements who I can think of at spfl level is devlin at Aberdeen is released and he was in Scotland squad not that long ago. Iacovitti at County looks good anytime against us. The livi 2 at back again not bad. I think st johnstones Gordon and mcart are looking for better than us maybe. I thought last year the likes of Charlie mulgrew would have been brilliant and someone like him been down in England and played at top level wanting back home is what I'd want but can't think of anyone off top of my head the now

Yep I agree with you. He was a big boy and I felt we needed mugabi to be up against him but we had no one to go to right back I felt sol and lamie tried to compete physically with him when he was 3 or 3 inches bigger and at least a stone heavier with gd feet. They haven't faced someone like him before in league so I'd hope if facing him next season they have learned that maybe just don't compete but try and nick it off him. He wasn't only one that livi players got better off easily. Forrest and Bailey were running riot wide and inside forward area and holt pitman and kelly were dominating our midfield easily giving them a lesson. Ohara came on at half time and helped that by getting closer to holt. All in I'd keep lamie if possible he's gd enough for 1st team and I believe he's a gd pro although yes I'd like better but other than mcmanus/kipre over last number of years I'm struggling to think of others who were miles better.

Just read through the thread and by God we have some funny folk on here. If that yesterday wasnt entertainment at football what is? The celebrations from all at end was brilliant. Livi were miles better 1st half but start of 2nd ohara won a couple of balls shields couple of runs and some chances and I thought we are back in this then their 2nd killed us. Well done young team keeping their singing going after 2 down as I've no doubt this encouragement was a factor in what was a great exciting last 20 from us. As you can guess I really enjoyed yesterday . 5 big games ahead and a wee mini league of 3 with united and County where top 2 can get europe likely is certainly more exciting than boring nothing games in bottom 6.

Not in me to look for people to blame. I'm maybe in happy clapper camp if anything. If you think it's normal to sign a pca in nearly April with a rival then you are maybe in the know more than me. That is my point with error made. As I said earlier I can't remember it happening before .

Yes and I agree with you. None of our midfield would be a great loss. Its just strange that he's signed a pca now. If it was Jan when window was open then i understand it but I can't remember it happening before in nearly April. Haha calm down. We play them in less than 2 weeks and things get kept in house all the time. This is something I'm sure could have been managed better. Not out of clubs control to keep it in house at all and likely reason why ohara been back out team recently.

Yep I agree as its certainly been happening all season but cmon that can't all be Alexander's fault. Not one of them that I have saw all year really wants the ball ,other than slattery and he's been hunted for whatever reason. It's OK saying ohara loss isn't going to hurt us much but who are we bringing in? He done well in 2 aberdeen games winning balls and also he had some gd runs with the ball which I've notcseen any of our other midfield do. His signings so far aren't giving me huge hope now and there doesn't seem to be any youth coming through which is another issue in itself. The whole signing a pca before we play them is also an error on someones part (who I don't know) at the club. A lot of negativity lately and it's not good.

Var I don't think would have changed decisions yesterday as its all down to interpretation. I think it was harsh and if didn't happen then game would have been different. Players were up for it and ran all day. Just watched game back there and efford should have passed to cornelius end of 1st half and woolery had efford and van veen at back post for a tap in with his shot. Macey wasn't a barge it was a pull arm back and elbow into lamies stomach . Lamie went down like old woman and that's what saved macey. The frustration is what if and I'm sure there are loads of tackles similar or worse than mugabis all season that never warranted even a yellow.

He didn't go flying in though yorky. He was nearly stationery overstretched for ball with his foot sideways doig goes in committed and its a collision with instep of doigs foot getting bevis studs. It wasnt high and never a red as those happen every week and aren't. Roberts on other hand does go flying in but he caught hibs player again on foot and that saved him plus collum shat it as no way even he's sending 2 off in 1st 15 mins. Hibs player elbow I've not seen yet so I'll reserve judgement. I like others was stunned at team with amongst other decisions no woolery in spite of being our most attacking threat recently was strange. Hibs are small other than porteos and I think that's what we were hoping for. Was a good old fashioned cup tie today and atmosphere that was enjoyable. Got ruined by collum imo. That's my only criticism of team today although not a lot of quality(never is) we done as well as can be asked due to 10 v 11 for all game. Agree with some of that but a lot of our fans are blaming this that and next thing for not going when I feel we need to take some of blame ourselves. Imagine if last 2 games were your 1st games at fir park? Was it enjoyable ? We got beat 1-0 and drew 1-1 so really tight games and other than young team cheering us on creating atmosphere the reaction of some of the crowd made it not a happy experience. Take responsibility for your actions as if you are moaning all game any new fans will I'd think not want to come back and it becomes contagious. Poor form a factor is always going to be a case for us as we are generally not very good if wer being honest and that's experience of nearly 40 years saying that going to fir park. Hibs poor form is similar to us but it doesn't look like it's stopping them.

Of course we can beat them as they are not on a great run either. The difference here will be the crowd as id imagine they will have a big support and will be in fine spirits certainly at the start. If the moaners and whiners in our support continue then in effect all they are doing is helping Hibs as it certainly does not give ours an extra spring in their step. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and quite rightly so but a wee question I would ask is ........ If you were at a game watching your son/daughter/brother etc playing for a team would you bawl and shout at their team mates that they were pish if they werent winning? I would imagine other than total imbeciles the answer would be no as you want to encourage all in your family members team to win. If we get beat at full time and easily then yes show your displeasure but if you are going to boo our players when game is on and tell them their pish during game then quite frankly stay in your house at the weekend as I think the majority dont want you there. Sounds harsh but if opposition fans are criticising our players during a game our fans would stand up for our players and that is what needs to be done here. Ive read on twitter that some arent going to hibs game. Bloody hell if any Motherwell fan is not going to a 1/4 final at home in scottish cup coz the football is shite then I am struggling to find words to describe it plus we have 3 exciting games (maybe not football wise) points wise to decide top 6, then hopefully 5 games to decide europe. We have now this chance of something special where at start of season after league cup games where I was really thinking relegation could happen. We might lose sunday and then not make top 6 but its not happened yet and might not!

Away for wknd so not at game yesterday but by god reading this the now is horrendous. My sons who were at game said atmosphere was terrible and his words "would put you off going" .wev only missed 3 games all season and generally enjoy it despite results or football on show so for him to say that hit nail on head. Not one player has had any praise whatsoever on here re yesterday but stats show again we were better team. I as much as everyone am disappointed with football but it is certainly not any worse than Robinson's 352 with Carson hitting balls up park all day and andy rose and mchugh in midfield. That football however got us to 2 cup finals which covers up all flaws. I can honestly see some trouble happening between our own fans soon due to negativity which would be terrible to see. Players are becoming scared and that will only result in poorer performances. It sounds simple to say but we do really need to stop the criticism during games and support the team starting right away against hibs at wknd. A win there and we r at Hampden and the feelgood factor returns with 3 games to secure top 6 .

What a stat that is and shows how scared teams are to lose. Even Hearts who are comfortably 3rd best resort to time-wasting etc when they go in front and makes games poor and frustrating. Last night as you say the atmosphere from some certainly in east stand was becoming quite toxic and although result is main reason it can also be heard more when atmosphere is not as gd due to no away fans. The young team tried their best at start and fairplay to them but with no away fans to compete with if you like it becomes quit and people's moans seem louder. I feel if for instance if that was against say hibs and we had those chances ( goss sitter shields sitter van veen sitter. Woolerygd chance and goalmouth scramble at end) the crowd would have been more supportive but coz its county we just expect to roll them over and usually it doesn't happen. God forbid if some on here and elsewhere get their wish to move the young team out the bottom corner as fir park would not be a gd atmosphere to watch a football match. No songs or toing and froing with opposition fans to non stop moaning about our own players unless their winning would drive a lot away.
